And trust me, I hope SE wises up and puts out either a continuation to the Chrono Trigger brand, or a revamp of Chrono Trigger. To be honest, it completely baffles me why this has not happened yet.

Let many companies, they got to a point where they only focus on their Flagship because they do to want to take risks anymore. It's not like the 90's when every company had a lot if different franchises and series they they keep putting out and had fun with.

Actually, it's because the Chrono Dream Team has split up among several different companies now, and SE are worried that it wouldn't be a "true" Chrono game without them. SE is well aware that there's a market for another game, they just don't want it to be some In Name Only continuation slapped together for some cash. Remember the DS remake?

I have to agree with this. CT being my favorite game, I don't think it's possible to live up to the expectations set by the first game, especially with the ideals the game industry holds as standard today. Anything OTHER than a pure fan sequel (for those that truly love the series) would be blasphemy, because I honestly think the true fans would care more about CT than SE would.

Well I will not go into what is required to make a true sequel for the Chrono series but the 20th Anniversary is coming and that is a solid reason to have an event in the game for giggles. I personally would love to see Mitsuda and Soken team up to bring a track for a fate. The feels would be so strong. Mitsuda + Soken 2015!

True the only two that are actually related are the Saga Series (found this one out from wiki) and the Mana series which started with my most hated enemy FF Mystic Quest. But because of the core fact that they were some of the most acclaimed and still strangely not well known that release came. But for the common understanding most people but chrono in the line so no harm done.

Dragon Quest X came out in December 2013 so like the lightning event, they wanted to advertise it. Also, yoshi p used to be on the dev team for DQ, but was removed for XIV. Other than that, no DQ like CT is it's own series.

False. Chrono Trigger is very closely related to FF despite the fact that it doesn't fit in the FF multiverse.
