And trust me, I hope SE wises up and puts out either a continuation to the Chrono Trigger brand, or a revamp of Chrono Trigger. To be honest, it completely baffles me why this has not happened yet.

Let many companies, they got to a point where they only focus on their Flagship because they do to want to take risks anymore. It's not like the 90's when every company had a lot if different franchises and series they they keep putting out and had fun with.

Actually, it's because the Chrono Dream Team has split up among several different companies now, and SE are worried that it wouldn't be a "true" Chrono game without them. SE is well aware that there's a market for another game, they just don't want it to be some In Name Only continuation slapped together for some cash. Remember the DS remake?

I have to agree with this. CT being my favorite game, I don't think it's possible to live up to the expectations set by the first game, especially with the ideals the game industry holds as standard today. Anything OTHER than a pure fan sequel (for those that truly love the series) would be blasphemy, because I honestly think the true fans would care more about CT than SE would.

Well I will not go into what is required to make a true sequel for the Chrono series but the 20th Anniversary is coming and that is a solid reason to have an event in the game for giggles. I personally would love to see Mitsuda and Soken team up to bring a track for a fate. The feels would be so strong. Mitsuda + Soken 2015!

they could easily have another story for Chrono trigger, just make magus crazy because he want's his sisters schala back and decides to warp back in time and screw up everything.

causing bosses to revive and him not being the true end boss they can figure all of that on their own.

Except that he tried that and had his memory erased and wound up in a forest. Plus Cross already completed Schala's story in the end.

Could we get some Chrono Trigger characters in this game?

At lest a event where we can get vanity equipment.

This would be strictly fan service, and awesome.

Dude I love that idea. A Cameo with any of those characters or even the music would be amazing.
But, I've noticed some people don't always like that kinda thing. People were mad about the Lightning Fates.
Which I think is dumb. You wanna argue about "lore" in a "fantasy" game. Cmon.
Pretty sure Fantasy means anything can happen.
