They could correct their mistake and make the new dungeons 3dps 1 tank 1 healer.

Yes, lets rebalance every single dungeon in the game so DPS can get into dungeons a little bit faster @.@

And for the record, I'd rather see 2 DPS 1 Support 1 Healer 1 tank. Throw BRD into the support role and plan Musketeer/Corsair for the next. I can dream about stuff that will never happen, too.

My problem with the new class, is that DF is already a horrible queue as a DPS class, yet they are adding yet another DPS class.

It will only make the Tank/Healer shortage in DF worse still.

It's worse for Ranged indeed, but it's awful queuing as 2 different DPS for Expert Roulette (and others) too, also a 20-30 min+ queue.

My Raid group actually refuses to let anyone re-roll Ninja until we see it being played properly. I plan to make the re-roll, but until I can upfront the numbers like the rest of our dps and get the class down, I will not be touching it in a raid environment.

How can you see it being played properly for your raid if.. your raid doesn't allow it? o.O

For sure in raids, we all know even if the min requirements are met, doesn't mean you'll be at your max.. but if you can dodge Titan and everything, NIN or not, I'll take you along for the fun of it.

Once you find the perfect composition of a raid to clear all content - this is where everyone complains the game is boring.

Letting another class and trying to work around and to be successful - now that's a good challenge!

And I don't mind making weapons for the arms race... it's good to be a blacksmith.

when the game launched there were a lot of arcanists running around, but you don't see too many summoners or scholars at 50, so i really wouldn't worry about it... not to mention 2.4 will be the next few turns of BCoB so people will be busy with that as well

currently: 3 ranged dps + 2 melee dps = melee dps have a shorter queue than ranged dps

bring 1 new melee dps would balance it out

I'm actually the leader of my group. We're a group that strives for progression,and we'd rather not bring in something that has the chance of being gimp off the bat. If none of us can pull the numbers or hold the same utility as our current mains, then to us it's not worth it until stuff is on farm and we're joking around. May sound silly to some, but progression is > someone learning a new class during raid time. :P

As for seeing it played properly. It's more of a confident game. If I'm not comfortable on it, then I won't take it to raid until I am. All of my raiders are on the same page and agree 100%. For a group that raids only 2 nights a week our time is pretty valuable to us.

Ninja will be available to everyone or only to those who cleared the main story?
New guy, gets home, install the game, starts brand newie...can he be a rogue -> ninja? wouldn't that create a plot paradox?
Lady Yugiri doesn't get here until you clear Prae and move on with the main story....how would she train a fresh 30 when she hasn't even got here in that guy story?
