I'm not a network engineer but is it imposible to use a host state rewind system, where your position data and the attack data you try to evade gets a timestamp and is compared by the server, to determine if you were out of the attack when it happened on your screen?
I guess the data transfer would be too high for that, but such a system would at least be fair for players who are further away from the next data center.

Unfortunatly, it could be abuse by hacker, saying "you have moved in time" to the server but in fact you didn't. You could send false "good timing" information to the server to be safe every time, even without moving correctly.
