I'm not sure I follow this line of thinking. Do you also consider eating food "cheating"? I would think it's almost a requirement to use pots during fights and is actually part of the rotation. What about a Bard using Foe Requiem, a Dragoon using Heavy Thrust, etc.? That would also "inflate" your DPS higher than it naturally would since you can't always have those buffs up 100%. I'm not sure you can discount one without discounting them all if you want to use this logic.
TIL: Using an available in game item meant to assist in raising your damage/healing is cheating. Don't forget those X-Ethers either.
On topic. Our monk is around 445ish at 102. We have him hitting towers, and backup for mines if one of our mine runners have Field. So he could probably be a little higher otherwise.

Oh nice. What does he have aiding him? Is Selene present? X-potions? Does he use fracture whole fight, only on avatar b4 movin to dread, or ignore it all together?TIL: Using an available in game item meant to assist in raising your damage/healing is cheating. Don't forget those X-Ethers either.

Our SCH uses Eos, I use 1 X-Potion during the fight (because we don't need more). I don't cast the LB (our DRG does), and I always switch to the dreadnaught (and make sure to use Mercy Stroke on each of them). Fracture is useless on every fight - it's DPS neutral as an ability and consumes insane amounts of TP. Especially in a fight where TP management is important, it's no bueno. I also don't have a second MNK spamming DK for me to use BS. i103 atm, i110 weapon.
Oh ok cool. I've been wondering about fracture and if it was really helping or hindering my dps. Since you're the second mnk posting around 445 and saying don't use it I'll try leaving it out tomorrow night. And yea ive been making sure to use Mercy Stroke as well. I think I'll try one X-Potion after my PB opener and one later in the fight. We dont need use potions at all anymore, but for the sake of that dps pride I'll take the drugs lol xD. Hopefully with the drop of fracture, the use of x-potions, and other tips i'll reach near 450. Thanks for the info. Our SCH uses Eos, I use 1 X-Potion during the fight (because we don't need more). Yes monks can do 450 for the full encounter. Every figure discussed has been full encounter, even the 500. It's just that the group specifically tailored conditions for that mnk to reach 500 for that full encounter. My 420 is full encounter and what I've been hitting regularly given the duty of a mnk's normal rotation while not popping potions/food, not having selene, etc.

There is no class that burns TP faster and not using fracture is pretty much all we can do to manage our TP while still wrecking.
If we'd manage it by waiting inbetween attacks it would be called slacking and not TP management. So yeah, we call for a TP song because we can only last for 4~ minutes in a dummy fight with Selene buff and invigorate.
I raid with him, so it was sarcasm and a running joke between us. He also doesn't use fracture, because as he has stated it's pretty much useless. There is no class that burns TP faster and not using fracture is pretty much all we can do to manage our TP while still wrecking.
