I'll agree with that so long as every time a dragoon lands from any/all jumps, they land with the tip of their spear in the ground. DRG jumps don't have them landing on their feet.
In regards to the drg and rogue fall dmg. Just my thoughts.
The difference with drg is that they are jumping, not "falling". There's a significant difference between the two. As far as japanese fiction physics go, that is.
Actually the only kanji all classes share is Shi 士 which means "specialist/worker/user". Jutsu 術, which means "skill," is used by all but PGL (格闘士 "Grappling/Wrestling user/specialist") and now ROG.The Ninja is wearing what is likely to be it's AF set.
The Rogue is wearing what looks to be a colored bandana and what appears to be a new armor model.
For anyone still wondering if the Rogue is the base class or not, the 2 and 3rd Kanji in the Japanese name are 術士(Jutsu Shi). This is identical to the rest of the classes. (Gladiator is 剣術士(Kenjutsu Shi), Thaumaturge is 呪術士(Jujutsu Shi), etc.)
On this note the Rogue class is 双剣士 for what it's worth if anyone couldn't make out the stylized text. 双 means twin/pair/set and 剣 means sword/blade so the class is basically "Twinblade user/specialist"
So in all fairness, the Rogue isn't really a dagger user in both name and appearance. The picture in the OP further strengthens this with the twin-blades the Rogue is using, very un-dagger like. They could potentially release an actual dagger class which stems into other dagger wielding jobs like Thief and Dancer. They would have used 短剣士 probably for "Dagger user/specialist" if they used actual daggers.
Doesn't really look like daggers:
(And just for those curious on the quoted classes: GLA 剣術士 means "Sword skill user/specialist" and THM 呪術士 means "Spell skill user/specialist." For those wondering how CNJ/ACN differentiate: CNJ is 幻術士 or "Illusion skill user/specialist" and ACN is 巴術士 or "Tomoe skill user/specialist.")

Also, in all fairness, Thief is Rogue and Rogue is the class with Ninja as the Job. I called this several times in the several threads that had popped up with the Leviathan update. Thief as a Job isn't going to happen because it's the base by which Ninja is built. It is nice that Limsa Lominsa is finally getting a melee DD and that's really what counts.
I think some people are just upset that they can't have the abilities of THF Flee/Mug/Steal/Treasure Hunter......Which is ok, Cause we don't need this to be like FFXI where 95% of THFs sucked at their job, And only came because they had the highest TH. Now I wouldn't mind some of the other abilities like Trick Attack/Sneak Attack, Because positionals like those would work great here in XIV. Other useful abilities would be Collaborator/Accomplice.
So... What stat will Rouge/Ninja be using?
It will be a damned crime if Ninja can't wear Fuma, so I guess STR? I always pegged it as more of a DEX/AGI/INT kind of Job though, was kind of hoping they'd add AGI for the Stealth/fall/poison mechanics, but then I realized that would mean no Fuma...
Also, I wouldn't discount the possibility of Thief showing up eventually. They called it Rouge, likely for a reason. Every Class should eventually have two Jobs, and Thief fits perfectly here, perhaps they just haven't figured a way to make it work in XIV, or are saving it for the next Live Letter, along with the Gunner Class. It certainly wont work like in XI, but there are various things they could do with it. A One ilm Punch off GCD/Combo rotation could work as a Steal type move, for example.
Some times I really dislike XIVs stats system. Would love to see it reworked somewhat, frankly I hate how every piece of gear has VIT on it, though that's become completely necessary just for survival... Would love to see AGI added and slapped on Fuma instead of VIT, and PIE put on Bard gear (along with Bard actually being Bard and having a proper use for MP...), but I doubt that'll ever happen. In theory though, AGI could work as well as VIT, as a damage mitigation stat rather than a +HP stat.

Its going to be STR. Unless SE reworks DEX which it says Ranged Attacks then ROG/NIN are going to be STR.So... What stat will Rouge/Ninja be using?

I wouldn't count THF out as a viable job just yet either. There is still plenty of time for them to find a place lore wise in the game. Way I see it we are lucky that we are getting a new class/job this soon. But everyone has to look on the bright side of this ROG/NIN, If SE can add a new base class/job that means that any job they add in the future doesn't have to be branched off a current class. Means all the DRK/RDM/BLU/ w/e would be pretty interesting. I always thought if they added a new job branching off a current class that it would suck and be boring, Here some new gear, A job Crystal, And 5 new abilities, But you get to keep the same old abilities you used for 2 years on other jobs.... I know I can't be the only one who thinks it would be pretty lame to play DRK branched off of MRD?

Arkista Valentine- Excalibur.
Almost certain it would use STR. Rogues are Twinblade users (as I outlined above) which are a type of sword in most games they show up in. As with their correlation to PGL in the live letter I'd say it would be safe to assume they use their gear sets as well. With the current exclusion of THF it would be fitting to put them in the Fuma set, too.
Actually I think I'd like to see DRK come off of GLA. That way we have the present theme in FF of PLD vs DRK.
However I could more likely see a double-handed sword (両手剣) class (perhaps 太刀士 "Long sword user/specialist" for the Japanese name, probably Knight in English? I know it's what the Japanese use for PLD but we could still use it ourselves) which turns into the Samurai (tank) and Dark Knight (DPS) jobs.

I think it would be awesome, see; my concept for Marauder => Dark Knight.
It's actually one of the few Jobs that I can realistically see working coming off an existing Class. Most of the others would work as well as Archer => Bard.
Gonna see more ninjas than you saw Zero's in Borderlands 2 multiplayer...lol
