Fester ALONE is 2.3k and windblade from garuda is also hittin for 2k, while all the dots are tickin. Believe it as hard as you want you ll NEVER burst HARDER than a summoner. 1.6k full thrust is pretty cute btw. Still not good.

Burst is high damage in a short period of time, a good 10-20 seconds usually (about how long most adds are supposed to live). Burst is NOT just a single attack.

A lucky 2.3K Fester, once, during that time is NOT true burst, since you're doing the same damage as you would normally otherwise (DoTs and pet still doing the same damage. Not sure where you're getting a 2K windblade from either, Garuda doesn't actually do much damage...once Ifrit is fixed you can say goodbye to the green one); you got a good crit. Big deal. You can do that at any time...or you may never do it. It is pure luck

I do about 1550-1700 with FT, 750-1200 VT (depends on crit) and 1050-1600 Jump (depends on Crit) in about 3 seconds during a full burst phase (that's with HQ X-Pot, HQ Risotto, BFB, Dis, HT, Life Surge on FT, Power Surge on Jump, and decent luck with the RNG)...so about 3350-4500 damage, not counting auto attacks or DoTs ticking away (probably add another 500-1200 damage through them, so total about 3850-5700, depending on when the global clock lines up in those 3 seconds). You were saying something about a 2.3K not-always-guaranteed crit Fester?

And you ll have one guaranteed hit with life surge. You won't learn to me how hard a dragoon can hit, im sayin that our secondary stats budget doesnt allow us to -> burst <- as hard as a summoner when he got everything up on a doubled foe requiem. Plain, simple, easy to understand.

I never saw a single drag burst harder than a really good summoner. Can't compare 460 ish crit vs 560 ish + same amount of det more or less on the other side, can you ?

Or you really got crappy summoners out there. Ours here dont have much problems breaking 600 dps easily on a burst phase. Summoner is the best dpser overall and its not hard to understand either. We dragoons can be really good at what we do when our stuff is up but thats it. And I'm not askin for a buff since I'm happy with the class as it is
