Lvl 50 Arcanist is it wrong?

Hello everyone OK so here the thing i will join a dungeon and almost instantly everyone turns and says / types (You're not a Summoner?) And i have to say no i like DPS'ing as an Arcanist i like the debuffs. Now i am a Scholar and i like playing as one but i don't really care to be a Summoner. No disrespect to the class i just don't want to play as one. I feel if they didn't want you to play as a lvl 50 Arcanist the game wouldn't give you lvl 50 Arcanist abilities.

So i ask should i drop the class i love to DPS as and become a Summoner? Or do you guys / gals know anyone that rocks as a plan ol Arcanist let me know guys. And please be nice I'm just asking.

When you decided to queue as a Arcanist, you piss away intelligence. You piss away pet damage. You piss away three very powerful moves.

Basically, every time you go in as a Arcanist, you nerf yourself and your party.

By all means, if you like playing as Arcanist, do so. But don't be surprised when people get pissed at you. They have every right to be angry that they're getting chained to someone who's voluntarily reducing all their effectiveness.

I have purposely stayed as an archer in some instances when playing with friends only. Mainly because of the same reason: everyone would expect me to be a bard. The problem is, as an archer, i use a lot of the other cross-class abilities, (mainly Mercy Strike, Bloodbath, and Invigorate--all abilities not available to Bard)

Some people like their system and get all pissy when someone presents a new idea. My suggestion is to mainly stick with friends when doing that to avoid hate.

Not sure about Archer though... that's a bit more interesting. Bard songs are largely wasted in 4 mans and I'm not sure how much DEX you lose when you ditch the crystal.

I also like keeping Swiftcast and Rez for emergencies... saved my groups several times lol

Swtching between the 2 at lvl50 is about 20 on Dex. Fairly hefty, but like I said, i'll stay as a BRD when with strangers. With friends I'll ARC since we already have good teamwork and know how to play around the lack of mana regen and missing stats.

... and the 10-20% magic damage from foe requiem... army's paeon... free rain of death after wide volley.

Seriously, there's no legitimate reason to be without your job crystal at 50 unless gimping yourself was the goal.

If you feel swiftcast raise as an ARC is that great, I suggest you find a better group of players that are decent enough to never need an ARC to do that.

And are you saying as a Summoner i can still use Bio 1 & 2 / Energy Drain / Miasma / Virus & Super Virus. If so that good to know which is really all I'm asking i don't know everything about this game. Any help on playing my class better is always welcome.

As much as I'm for helping people... this... you got to 50... the spells have SMN in the tags...

Good lord. That's not being a noob. That's failing to read. I've had literal hours of que time, and duty time wasted because people don't read their own tools at lvl47+.

Understand why I can barely contain myself when you clearly got to 50 and did not read 'SMN' on most of your abilities. This is my worst pet peeve in game, and be happy you didn't talk to me, or else I would have done nothing but insult you for failing a test of logic and literacy.

Like when? Unless you are WHM or SCH, you can't rez in combat

You lose 20 dex as a level 50.
