Gladiator and Arcanist are from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance Series and Thaumaturge is from FFXIII

I'm confused as to why everyone is so confused. It's been announced and well known that they are adding classes to the game. They also hinted at the expansion in the past, and have told us they are working on the said expansion.
So why is this so hard for people to believe? Considering Yoshi also said they wouldn't announce such things until E3?

Sadly, Yoshi has said he will NOT release any class that has a reliance on any kind of consumables, and Chemist falls into that category so it can't be introduced without heavily changing the FF staple.
The only 'nuker' in XIII is Ravager/Blaster.

already did that by removing the elemental Wheel, making thunder a dot and a summoner a warlockSo nothing is impossible O:

@Tupsi, they can do it... just make 'potion toss' like abilities that aren't reliant on potion inventory.
It's safe to assume a Chemist Job would keep a seemingly unlimited supply of cure-agents on his member. Or simply whip something up on the fly, flask it, toss it, & forget it.
Nothing is impossible as that person said.

Well if you wanna get into some FF history, Chemist can be done without consumables because they did it in FFX-2. It's just an ability with the same name as an item.
Am I the only one excited about the upcoming nightwear in 2.3 (^O^)/

This is one of their abilities - Also one of the iconic abilities of Chemist/Alchemist (depending on game), this is what I meant by they would have to go against the FF staple since Mix (as far as I know) has always utilized combinations of consumable items to create something new, not simply just tossing potions at the enemy for an attackSo it could easily work, but it wouldn't be in the style we've come to know.

Eh if they wanna play with the mix a bit, oh well. Pun absolutely intentional. Dragoon and Monk were almost never positional, Paladin/Knight almost always had White Magic, White Mage almost never had elemental nukes, etc etc.Having their iconic ability is of course something that should be expected. We'd all go crazy on them if Mix wasn't there. It's just that they could just make Mix an ability too: a random effect on a cooldown. They could even split it into healing and damage Mixes. It'd be weird...but they could do it.
I know I'm coming off as a Chemist fanboy but I'm not trying to (besides Time Mage > all, so there! ). Just that, can't discount something because of how it used to be done. MMOs make it so the rules have to be changed. They've already changed abilities in this game against what they used to do: Jump used to make the Dragoon invincible for a turn or so, for example.
