    It was actually in 1.0 too, but then it made sense as it was actually not heavy you were hit with, but an equivalent status called 'Lamed', as in, your chocobo was injured by the attack and would only move slowly (dismounting canceled the effect). Presumably due to the wider variety of mounts in 1.0, including mechanical ones (ala, magitek armour, the bomb palanquin), SE must have thought it wouldn't make sense any more calling it 'lamed' and so just changed it to the generic heavy. But yes, it has a reason to give a reason to actually be careful when running through the world on a mount.
