Patch 1.18 release date now looking grim for july??

I'll be FF14's white knight for a day...

TOR and GW2 are gonna suck just as much as 14 during their first year.

And you know that how? Please. I'm not saying they're gonna be great games but saying they're gonna suck is just as stupid. Not trying to antagonize you because I think TOR is gonna suck donkey nuts as well, but I'm just saying.

Off-Topic: Yoshida says the NA community whines too much, I have no idea why.

Source? You can't just say shit like this without a source.

On-Topic: This games fate is up to no one. What Yoshida is doing, right now, is the absolute correct approach to saving this game. There is nothing else he could possibly do to increase FF14's life after PS3 release.

So far he's done pretty much nothing. You think that's the right approach? 1.18 will be the first patch he's actually worked on from the start as well as it's content.

I'm gonna wait until then to actually judge him as a producer, but in all honesty teasing is with the producer letters and mentioning content he fully well knows we're never going to see is outright stupid.

Remember all that crap about the 7th Umbral Era? He started teasing us in DECEMBER, you realise it's been more than half a year and all we've got is some text only lore and some npcs with 4 lines of dialogue?

Remember player companies? Still not a single mention of those.

Grand Companies? Still text only lore and a whopping total of 3 in-game sidequests that barely explain anything and can be completed in a matter of 10 minutes. This was months ago.

What I'm saying is everything we've gotten from Yoshida so far is words words words. I hope 1.18 turns around my opinion on him and the dev team because as of now, I hate to say this, I really have no trust in his competency to make fact of his words. Mostly because he hasn't done any of that so far.
