Possibly, however the system might impose a specific cap, or have two seperate stats to make sure Novus doesn't out do Gerolt Weapons.

All items in the game have caps on primary and secondary stats, determined by the ilevel. I don't know the caps for i110, but some existing items probably reach them so see what the highest values you can find are on masterwork weapons and that's probably it.

It's a more reasonable assumption than going nuts over materia IV prices going to skyrocket.

You're also assuming that Alexandrite use is based on per Materia and not per Stat on the Materia i.e. it could be that you need 4 Alexandrite for a materia that has DET +4 and 10 Alexandrite for a materia that has DET +10. Speculation at this point regardless since we don't know the exact details.

Materia will certainly skyrocket when the patch launches due to speculation but much like the last patch I doubt those prices will be sustained and the early buyers will probably lose money.

Since the scrolls only concern secondary stats we know right away it will probably just be det and crit, and it's not like they're not already incredibly expensive.

Edit: rather the melds concern secondary stats, since primary seems to be given as part of the infusion.

Hmm that seems interesting, who dug out that image lol.

Cos so far it is know than determination have a higher "cost" per point of stat compared to acc/crit/ss. That's why you always see more acc/crit/ss than det in every piece of gear.

So far based on costs, we have seen combinations like 44 crit 31ss, 44ss 31crit which does add up to 75 points, but when determination is involved it is always lower than 75. For example, 31 det allows 31 crit to be paired with it or 21 det 44ss. Unless Novus changes this outright.
