Beyond a point, DF is pretty much useless, and that needs to be fixed

That community wants to practice in DF and make serious attempts in PF. PF is the tool for wins. Use the correct tool.

Fallacy - silent majority. You have no idea what the community wants. The few people who have commented as such in reply to this thread do not constitute a scientific survey. Now, go into the DF and ask how many people want to clear the encounter, and how many want to "practice" the first few phases for 15 minutes before vote abandon.
