Chaucer, Shakespeare, Byron, Tennyson, Da Vinci, Michalangelo, etc. offered more to society than what most people watch and listen to today. Although each of their works (especially Shakespeare) provided some harmful effects to society, nothing is compared to the trash we see and hear today. Tell me this, how many individuals, who are engrossed in pop culture, can actually have a thoughtful discussion on what is happening in Ukraine?

Implying that people who are obsessed with Shakespeare, poetry, and ancient art have anything meaningful to discuss regarding global politics.

Probably more than someone who is obsessed with the likes of reality tv shows, modern day mtv, etc.

Is there a word for when someone uses another person's words or actions as an excuse to be completely inappropriate? Like the "She Started It" routine or a super villain whose sole purpose for widespread genocide is because someone was mean to him once. And I'm not even directing any of my dissonance towards you or anyone you know; you're just being combative for, perhaps, the sake of the joke you thought you had going there? Trying to make fun of LGBT in a kind of half-cocked flanking maneuver by proclaiming how you're "Trying Not To"? Here's a thought - and do try not to choke on this - how about not reading any of my posts? Don't let that break your mind or anything but you do have the option of passing my posts over for someone elses. Maybe someone who just wants to jump on here and say how awesome everything is. No; people who are enamored with the game are playing the game; not screwing around on the forums.

Besides all that; why else would you come in here? I don't browse through threads I disagree with (too often) because normally a discussion can't be made. I wasn't even intending a discussion here; I just wanted to vent my frustration. But you; you want to attack an entire globally-recognized community and using my outburst as platform to get away with it.

Now that you've been sufficiently called on the carpet; your move, rhetorical, flatulent, fustian, gaseous, gassy, grandiloquent, oratorical, orotund, windy, bloated, elevated, florid, flowery, grandiose, highfalutin (also hifalutin), high-flown, high-sounding, inflated, lofty, ornate, pompous, pontifical, pretentious, stilted, tumid, turgid; overdone, verbose, wordy - BOMBASTIC.

    Captain, it's dead.

    Hilarious.

I wasn't mocking anything LGBT. I was mocking you, and offhandedly mentioning that by posting such garbage and then tagging it with LGBT at the end of it, you're poisoning the image, much like a religious zealot running around with 'God hates [Insert Nasty Word for Minority Group].'

But whatever makes you feel better.

EDIT: And thanks for defining the word I chose as a name on purpose for those who didn't know already. Appreciate it.

I agree. Crafting seems a bit pointless. It's very grindy. I just can't get into it.

Crafting is the most wonderful thing that the Development Team has ever made worse though hating every aspect of it and its products.
Personally, I enjoy the crafting system, and enjoyed it so much more in 1.0. Recognizing the absolute pointlessness of it makes it even more soothing, really.

I like current crafting system. Being self-sufficient is the point of crafting. It is not pointless.

I thoroughly enjoy your writing style, even if I don't fully agree with everything you wrote, you make some very valid points. The absolute biggest frustration in crafting is the materia system and crafters reliance on it to even be able to attempt the highest level synths. On my server, with current prices, I have 2 options for this, gather a ton of materials, make multiple sets of i55 crafting gear for whatever class I want to SB with, gather a ton of crafting materia, oh yeah, then there's shards, holywtfomg the shards. It takes about 2000 shards to SB a crafters set, congrats, you got RNG 1 T4 and 6 useless T3 materia, now do that 27 more times and you might have enough materia to meld your first DoH class, only 7 more to go, yay. So after you spend 6 trillion hours grinding shards and another 400 hours watching reruns while your character auto crafts a million useless gemstones, you now get to craft gear that is at best a stop gap until you can get that elusive drop.

The other option is just buy materia, which, at current prices, I could either meld all my crafting classes so I can make all the materials that I can sell to, wait, oh yeah, the other insane people who have melded their crafting gear and can make the same thing (This is the biggest flaw in the crafting system, since every crafter is just about forced to have all DoH at 50, there's no market for selling cross crafting materials) or I could use that same gil and buy large FC house, all for myself, it's about the same price.

    Great Strides Steps

I'm still new to crafting and I just have a question about the action Great Strides, in the description of the action its suspose to be active for 3 steps but on the very next action it will drop out entirely is it suppose to do that or is it because I have other actions active?
