I'm always confused by people who don't know about the job quests...they are in the SAME exact place you've been getting all your quests and the icon appears after you hand in your lvl 30 quest. Do people seriously not go run up and check what this new icon that popped up is? It's like 5 yalms away.

They only pop up after you reach level 15 in your subclass and do your level 15 class quest there as well. If a new person doesn't know what their sub class for their job is, they'll never see it.

Not true. You get the big red icon that pops up if you don't have your subclass leveled. Every trip to Old Gridania reminds me that I should really go get MRD to 15 to unlock DRG.

I didn't when I got GLA to 30 for PLD. I had to get CNJ to 15 and do that class quest before I ever got a quest icon.

You'll still have the mark, but it'll be the red locked quest icon and when you interact with the NPC, it told you you didn't have the subclass
