I rewatched the video to make sure, but in terms of specifics, he said that they're experiencing company-wide network issues, which have also hindered their ability to address bugs for the patch (it's cost them about three days of work). Furthermore, the building is being shut down for a yearly maintenance on May 31st and June 1st (saturday and sunday). If they released the patch on that friday, they would have no way of addressing issues if something went wrong that weekend, so they had to push it back to the following week.

People really shouldn't think so poorly of the devs when something bad happens that's out of their control.

Sadly customization is a Female character pro, being a Male character gives you very limited options for customizing in almost every way. SquareEnix isn't at fault for this either a lot of companys that have both gender options in their games favor the Females.

I said it before and I will gladly repeat myself, the urge to be a Lalafel forced me into the Male role. As a guy, being a Female Lalafel makes me feel dirty lol.

I say good riddance. I'll be trying to use it as little as possible now. Barring a lack of FC members online, I don't really see any reason to use DF as a Tank anymore. Not the way we get treated.

Half the people who will complain about this change have probably mistreated a DF Tank at some point. If queues get bad (and they probably will) you have only yourself to blame.

As a DPS I find I get abused by the Tank, dropping from the Dungeon before it starts so they don't get the lock(I think). Anyone who disrespects a Tank doesn't deserve to progress, especially since you are a Lalafel Tank. I find myself disappointed these days when I don't have a Lalafel Tank for dungeons.

But remember Tanks abuse us just as much, I seen one ditch the group at the first failure of a dungeon.

they shouldve scrapped the repair system a long time ago. it's nothing but a hassle and adds absolutely nothing to the game.

My favorite gear 'quality' system ever was in Earth and Beyond. Gear could be crafted at up to 200% quality, and its quality score had a direct impact on the stats of the item. From 1-100%, the changes were minimal (but it did make you want to keep your gear repaired), but above 100% the changes were noticeable. Though, if I remember right, you couldn't repair beyond 100% quality. In that game, though, *all* items were able to be crafted. You'd get a drop from a boss and decide if it was worth the risk of deconstruction for its pattern (you could potentially fail to learn the entire pattern - the main way they kept boss fights relevant) or if you just wanted to keep it and use it.

No other game that I know of has done anything like it.

I thought I read 2.28 being delayed because Yoshida was considering doing something about Atma quest drop or was surprised that not alot of people had it yet. I read this on IGN interview with him. IGN had him answer some fan questions.

Oh, he didn't mean 2.28 get deleyed because changes in the coming Novus questline.
He did mean that the Novus questline get delayed to 2.28 because of changes in it.

That was only part 1 of 2.3 judging by what happened in the past ( not a race in the past but ) i would say yes they will have a new race come 2.3 but they will not say anything till the next live letter followed by the 2.3 patch a week or so later
