Still the tank's fault. He should be communicating his strategy. I hate when tanks have a strat in mind and don't announce it. Not everyone may be familiar with the method. Sac, exceptionally large SR pulls (WP and Bray HM can be SR in very different ways), positioning quirks. And who knows, your healer may be drunk/tired/chilled out. I did a Stone Vigil a few weeks ago with a drunk healer, thank goodness I was a MNK because if I were the tank I would have been so stressed.

I got this one run in Longstop (Hard).

War tank. In a good 4 atma books worth of tomes this tank was the very first to stop at the **TOP** of the ramp. No tank I have ever had before did that. WE wiped because I did not know he was going that far. Had Seal popped in prep to stop at the **BOTTOM** of the ramp and start spamming C2, M2, ect. But Seal was basically gone once I found out WTF was going on and where he stopped. "L2P" rants started. Not to mention the tank bolted off before even protect was done (This is getting more and more common. I don't even bother with stoneskin anymore).

So basically OP. Zero sympathy. Come level WHM and see what crap we get. Tanks are the biggest, most arrogant pricks in the game. With your bailing before CS's are done. Bailing when someone says they are new. Bailing because it was taking longer than 10 min to clear a zone. Hell bailing whenever you want because of your 2 second invites... wahhhhhh cry me a river OP.

Like I said in the OP, I have a scholar. It's generally assumed that tanks and healers get yelled at the most in groups but thanks to my divine luck, I haven't really seen excess hate speech directed towards me on my warrior or healer. Although I was called asswipe this one time on my sch by a dps, I can't really remember why though

If this is how you act towards me on the forums where I did not say nor do anything to you, I would hate to be in a group with you

I'll add one more self pity note... When other party members start talking trash about the healer a good healer can't talk trash back because he/she has to KEEP HEALING. It's so demoralizing during a Titan fight when the dead DPS and the "just stand there" tank start talking trash to the healers and I can't take time to type "Hey the Dead DPS is wearing low level equipment and I've already rezzed them twice!" because I'm TRYING TO KEEP EVERYONE ELSE ALIVE.

It's not just bad tanks that annoy the hell out of me (between massive pulling beyond their capabilities or not pulling hate off other people), I also get pissed off at DPSers who don't know how to stay out of the way of AOEs from enemies or constantly pull hate away from the tank, so now I have 1 or 2 more people to heal on top of the tank and then I get yelled at when I'm forced to choose between healing a DPSer or the tank in the heat of battle.



I tried tanking before and I admit it's damn difficult at first, but healers have it just as hard when too many things go wrong or people start being people. I have survived such encounters before, but it's such a damn pain in the ass and depending on the tank, I could very well run out of MP.

Every time I see a tank speed run hard version of Longstop, they always try to attract EVERY SINGLE GOBLIN FLYER in the map before we go to the 2nd boss, which means me and the DPSers are suffering random damage whenever the mobs decide to attack someone besides the tank at random, which also means I'm forced to burn more MP for AOE healing, which ALSO means the hate towards me will rise quickly. I have survived such encounters before, but it's such a damn pain in the ass and depending on the tank, I could very well run out of MP.

1.) This is the common Strat if there is enough gear, don't see a problem with this.
2.) You should not have problems keeping yourself and the others alive as long as you start off with everyone stoneskinned and apply regen/medica2 effects coupled with divine seal, maybe throw another swiftcast Stoneskin at the player who is low to buy some time.
3.) You most likely do not have aggro there, even if you get damage - the flyers will attack random players.
4.) If you go oom at this, it is most likely not because the tank is taking too much damage, but the DPS is lackluster and therefor the fight takes too long - or you don't ever use Shroud of the Saints.

Frankly as a main healer.. its mostly boredom in playing healer if ur not having to speedrun brayflox all the time or the one time people die and start blaming u putting up with all the hate is boring.. just tired of the disrespect really

Actually never had any PuG blame me for whiping or if someone dies. Most of the time the tank goes "Sorry [Explanation]", or the DD knew he stood at the wrong place.
And the few time it is my fault I just announce it in chat "Sorry, my bad." and they usually answer with "np".

Then again, the amount I PuG might as well be way less than you or other people as well.

No, easier method: All stand in tank and then Cure 3 => Random DMG fixed.

been doing this strat with iLvL 80 WHM and having bad luck with gobs random attacks I will die with HP < 4000 if there are no regen effects on me and i only use group heals.
