Why do new players receive death threats for enjoying the story?

if you want to have a party where there is no cutscene skipping, PF has a nice option to accommodate your wishes.

But how are people supposed to know this? If there was a tutorial notification I missed it or it was so long ago that I couldn't remember. So many people are upset about this, it's not just me, so why don't they do something about it? Because obviously what we currently have is just not doing it. You can't just throw a solution and hide it away where no one can find it. That's not how efficient design works.

If the majority of new players hear via word of mouth that there's an option in the party finder, Square Enix will consider that the solution and close the case, but then for people who don't hear that advice will have the same problems as I did. There is such an easy and obvious solution though. I'm not posting this thread to rant but to help and warn others, because it was extremely upsetting for me and I don't want others to go through it too.

The same reason they dont have a tutorial on multimelds. on limit breaks. on how to coil.

But wait, they did mention it on its inception, in the patch notes.

Age and maturity has nothing to do with this. Some play games for PvP, some for RP, some for PvE. It's just how people work.

Then I am sorry for misunderstanding. It seemed as though he was suggesting, due to him not being sympathetic to my issue, that I must be young to be upset about this topic.
I am in my 20's and I study game art if you must know. No snide remarks please. :P

Which is exactly why I posted the Reddit link, to prove that I am not alone on this issue.
I posted this purely to inform other players who share my point of view. It may be hard to believe, but some people care about the story in Final Fantasy games, especially in this MMO.
What would be the point in me just ranting for no reason on the issue? It wouldn't solve anything.

If you care about the story, more power to you.

The party doesn't need an 8th if the 8 wants to fall behind to watch cutscenes.

Heres the hitch though- Don't blame SE for an individual harassing you- just report the individual and move on.

You are complaining basically because people are annoyed in game with YOU for wasting THEIR time... It's SIMPLE. Honestly I have no idea why you're ranting. If you really feared for your life, call 911. Otherwise, enjoy the game how you want, on your own time, otherwise when you're in a dungeon with others, either say in the beginning what your plan is and see if the group as a whole is ok with it... Not just what you think how it should be for you. I'm retired military due to injuries, so maybe I just learned how to work with others better...?
