Greased Lightning, Presence of Mind, Selene's buffs are all essentially haste.
Slow's effect is quite noticeable actually. Especially on mages.

A Haste ability that significantly increased Skill Speed (not AA speed) to the point of like 0.5-1 second GCD would be amazing. Although it would almost certainly have to be a 10-15 second-type buff, similar to the Mega Potions, and I could see misuse easily causing parties to wipe based on terrible TP management.
I enjoy seeing enemies do things like cast Fear / Charm / Berserk on party members. There's always something interesting about watching us murder eachother.
I'd also love to see abilities that actually exploit Physical and Elemental resistances. It would do nothing for current abilities, but would allow for combo abilities between classes.
Also, combining elemental Debuffs/Attacks between like classes or jobs would give a neat benefit for cross-classing.

Due to how frequent attacks are, I don't see Blink being a very effective spell, not unless they made it utterly game breaking balance wise.
Reraise is the effect I'd like to see - it would have to have a long cool down though to stop blatant abuse - maybe have Phoenix Downs (which are very rare items) instead of raising a party member they instead give the player a Reraise effect, but once used can't be used again for an hour or something to avoid people exploiting in Titan or Coil for instance.
Confuse and Berserk
BLMs sort of have a blink ability as it is, with Manawall. Sure it's only a 2-hit physical damage nullifier but it's still proved useful in endgame content like Titan extreme landslides.Due to how frequent attacks are, I don't see Blink being a very effective spell, not unless they made it utterly game breaking balance wise.

I think reraise would be a good idea but you'd have to have some enemies be able to dispel it from you for their enrage mechanics to work intentionally. Otherwise it's essentially just having a spare swiftcast -> raise automated. Like you say, with a long cool down it wouldn't be abused.
How about they fix weakness first?
How come, when sh*t hits the fan, it's easier to just give up, wipe and run back (thanks shortcuts!) than try to fight against the odds? And raising gives you a weakness penalty when wiping doesn't?
If anything surviving a tough situation with in-battle raises should be encouraged because it's so much more fun when you come out with MP at 0 and everyone sharing sighs of relief.
I mean if you wipe and monsters respawned that'd be fine since there's lost time there, but at least hit wiped parties with a severe weakness, no one plays seriously in a dungeon anymore when you can just brush off a wipe and sprint back. This just encourages speed runs, if you pull 10 mobs and die well you take the risk of a wipe, but if that risk is not there why not.
Of course dungeons only (not trials)
You mean preventing sac pulls? In old FFXI you could de-level because you would lose experience whenever you died. SE decided that de-levelling was too harsh for today's gamers though. We do take more severe gear damage when we die though, so there is that.
Just wondering, does anyone think status/elemental resistance stats will ever become useful for endgame encounters? They don't really appear to be of any use at the moment.
More Death effects would make it feel more like FF, also Zombie would be nice to see. Being able to cast zombie on a target and then heal to DPS. Raise might also work in that situation too, though it might be good on a boss fight and you had to get the monsters down quickly.
Morbols however are exactly as I remember them in every FF, I hate them >.>.
Tonberries should get a buff, they were so hard every time you encountered them and in ARR they are not hard.
