Casual isn't easy to master.
Everyone says WoW is easy. Ok, cool. You can get to level cap within a couple weeks.
Now what? Have you mastered the game? No.
How many of those people who say "WoW is easy" have finished 25-man Heroic Ulduar? What about 25-man Heroic Lich King? Even with the 30% freebie buff to all stats, damage, and healing that Blizzard gave just to help the population kill him, less than 5% of the world's raiding guilds actually did.
How many of those people who say "WoW is easy" even have the skill to be invited to a competitive raiding guild?
It's easy to say that a game is "easy" and "too casual", but how many people in those "easy" and "too casual" games actually master it?
this qfmft!
so of you guys need to relax the new content isnt even out yet why complain on things the public hasnt played yet

.........wait. Did I miss something? Did Aion finally implement PvE servers?last time I checked it was still a giant gankfest.
*edit: this was an actual question, not a snarky response. But since there was no answer, I googled it, and no. Aion is still a gank fest. In fact, I stopped to read the forums, and I have to say I'm not sorry I leftand after reading *one* single thread over there, I just wanted to come back and say: I <3 you guys

As a release day Aion player I have to say I totally agree with you. This community frustrates me sometimes (wahhhh jumping, wahhhh casuals) but otherwise this place is so nice..........wait. Did I miss something? Did Aion finally implement PvE servers?last time I checked it was still a giant gankfest.

I'm never going back to Aion though I have friends there still, it's just not my thing.

so mastering the game means completing a very specific hardcore event? And did i say WoW....because i dont remember saying WoW? If anything, WoW is one of the few games that is balanced, of course not perfectly, but it has hardcore and casual elements, it wouldnt last that long as long as it has without it.
Either way, adding in a few "hardcore" style events doesnt suddenly detract from the other "casual" stereotypes.
ideally, if the content is challenging. i bet they thought everything "end game" related currently in the game is challenging when kaeko leta has soloed everything. There's a lot of confusion recently since the terms "causal" and "hardcore" mean different things to different people.
IMO, the best rewards should go to the players with the best skills.
IF "casual" = "not skilled" and "hardcore" = "skilled", then yes, the best rewards should go to the hardcore players.
But, if "casual" = "can only play 1-5 hours a week" and "hardcore" = "plays 5 hours a day", then the best rewards should go to either player, since time spent playing this game is not at all an indicator of intelligence, strategy, skill, and cooperation. In this definition, if both players are of the same aptitude, they will both reap good rewards eventually, with the hardcore player getting them sooner on account of more time spent in game.
In the end, the good stuff should be rewarded to the players who are good enough to overcome challenges, regardless of how much time they are able to stay logged in.
Being able to camp a NM spawn for 24 hours straight is not a challenge.
Being able to defeat a NM that requires concentration, skill, strategy and cooperation IS a challenge.

^ well there goes me thinking the 50 NMs where actually hard XD

Misunderstanding = 71 page thread
Trollbait is EVERYWHERE.

if the game gets hard the casuals will leave then we wont have to worry about them.
well when you camp a 24hr NM you need to have skill to kill it.Being able to camp a NM spawn for 24 hours straight is not a challenge.
Being able to defeat a NM that requires concentration, skill, strategy and cooperation IS a challenge.
