In reality win trading isn't any different that hitting a button repeatedly. Technically you could do it with the following steps
Queue up at same time
Enter button
Spam 1 attack to kill opposing player while they stand there. or stand there and let yourself be killed
Exit button

Repeat.

A combination of 4 buttons, no effort or skill, no real time-sink other than hitting the 4 buttons, to accomplish 1 month of grinding.

And people abusing the Vote Abandon feature to repeatedly farm the same set of mobs is "working as intended"? That was the point he was trying to make.
