Lv50 loot shouldn't be tradeable for GC Seals.

Simple fix if the devs really wanted to fix the issue would be to disable the need option if your current equipped piece in that slot at the time of the gear entering the loot pool is of a higher ilvl.

games pretty simple.. you want a healers belt? play a healer and run the dungeon a dozen times, you'll probably get it
you don't want to play a healer? you don't need a healers belt then..
the other healer rolled on the item as well? omg so unfair, how dare another player want something that you want? send a letter to SE, you are more important than other people, your mums been telling you for years. -__-

The most egregious example was a CT run earlier.

Guy has a HQ i90 crafted belt. The i80 belt drops. He Needs.
- The belt is unsellable
- The belt is not Convertible to materia
- The belt cannot be used for Glamours
- The belt cannot be traded for GC Seals that I know of
- He didn't say he needed it for retainer
- He obviously wasn't using it, as it was strictly inferior to what he was wearing

He literally Needed ONLY for the sake of Needing, and outright said as much. One or more players could've put it to use now or in the future with that class. I got vote dismissed for calling him out on it.That's the kind of behavior this causes. Greed, pettiness, hostility. Nothing good comes of this, it makes the game more antisocial, it makes players less cooperative, it discourages altruism and sharing.

It's a sad day when I have to point to the WOW community as being better and friendlier on a subject, but that is so when it comes to this.

CT gear (like Allagan gear) is shared among classes so he could use it for other class now or in the future, or for his retainer, and he does not have to justify his decisions to you.


I think people who try to force other people to pass because they want the gear are the ones who create more problems, really. Sometimes they are with a friend that keeps trying to help to force people to pass. Nobody has to justify his rolling to anybody. The: "I want it more than you do", or "I deserve it more than you do", or "My friend really really wants it" are nonsense.

My view: if you need it for any reason, press need even if someone says he has been waiting for 7 years and wants it very very much more than you. If you don't need it but just want it, greed, if you don't care about it, pass.

If someone says he needs an item I wouldn't roll need unless I needed it, of course. (And not for sale at GC.)

I usually never need at the high level dungeons, but I usually greed unless I don't want the item. And I think most people don't roll need for items they don't need, just for sale. Many people don't even care to roll greed.

CT and Coil 1 without the weekly limit are much less hard places to obtain loot as they used to be.

They should disable the need button if your current gear that you're wearing is higher iLevel; at that point, only allow greed. If the game sees that you don't NEED it, don't allow you to lot need.

Tbh I even play cheap sometimes lol in bray HM 2 boss speed runs, i just wait till the end after the final boss to start rolling on items. Usually by then ppl will just quit and leave for next run, all that loot will then "automatically" be placed into my inventory ...

First and foremost I report people like you, waiting around purposefully with the intentions of grieving me and other players into giving you the drops is just low, like really lowest of the low not much better then stealing from your dead grandma low. not to mention it can add 3mins onto a run that I just busted my bum to make sure we finish fast. You are purposfully prevent other players from progressing in the game, and leaving the dungeon this is a violation of ToS.

You give your healer way more credit then you deserve, The only time I "need" heals in dungeons is when I don't move in order to maximize my casting time. The tank may need you but a dps who can dodge will not in most fights. if people want a 12min full run I have to use food and pots, and it depends on the dps more then the healer.

A healers does not deserve it more in a dungeon then anyone else. You skip a phase in bflox thanks to dps not healer. I have yet to run a dungeon where my blm isn't keeping virus and E4E up the whole dungeon, while the sch sits there and twiddle thumbs. You sound like one of those healers who make dps open doors on diablos.

Pls, Diablos is so easy that it doesn't matter who opens the doors. Don't act like one class role should get a lower priority just because they didn't start DPSing someone. I can just turn around and say that as a healer, I deserve the loot more because I kept people alive.

I don't know if my server is just more decent and polite, but from day 1 of DL dropping g in dungeons, because I will not use any gear I can *need* (healer) I have only greeded with the rest of the party to be fair, in my view. 99% of the time I DF with my other half who plays PLD,so we are getting 2 random dps that we will never see again.

I started out saying "since this gear would all be for seals I'm going to greed to be fair, if anyone needs/wants anything let me know I'm happy to pass". I just kept doing this, and now I never say anything and 99% of the time everyone I see in the DF does the same. I pretty much thought it was a thing by now (just greeding gear even if you can need). We do a lot of Brayflox. This seems to be how most everyone handles it.

I think it's awesome we can trade DL for seals. Otherwise this gear would go to total waste eventually.

In bray hm speed runs if a whm can holy like 6+ times on 1st group while keeping up tank and then proceed to dps stone 2, aero1 and aero 2 during the whole boss fight.Then put up a stoneskin right after and using holy again 5-6+ times on 2nd pull and dpsing 2nd the whole time. Doing all this without any " please wait i need mp" or any mp issue excuses should entitle us healers to more dirty ways of obtaining the loot lol.
Sure waiting it out seems lame but if the other ppl wanted the loot they\\'d stick around and wait for it/ tell me to roll.

Yet one person can take it from others due to being able to need. Exactly, healers are usually dpsing "and" healing the party.
We have like 2 jobs in the party vs dps just dpsing and when the healer offers to do the mechanics then thats 3 jobs vs dps just dpsing lol.
Also i always do the boss special mechanics (i.e copper hm bombs/ rocks, lost city doors)
Cuz i prefer dps to be on the boss for the whole fight. * more dps= more damage= faster kill= happy party.
I got most of my commendations from doing that kind of stuff.

And i only entitle myself to play dirty on bray hm myth runs if i do all of tht.
Usually the other party members don't care about loot so either way the loot will fall into my inventory eventually.
