thanks for the help!!!!
thanks for the help!!!!
Thank You PArcher Xanthe, very helpful advice that I can now put into effect! I appreciate it a lot. Thanks again.
I didn't choose the PUG life... The PUG life chose me...
One says I should be prioritizing Skill Speed. Another says Crit is the most important out of them all. They both agree that strength is most important but think that each of their individual secondary stats is the best. So we have a SS Dragoon, CRIT Dragoon and a DET Dragoon (Me). We all do good damage in our respective raid teams and no one's complained to any of us regarding our individual setups. I was just curious if I was doing it completely wrong. And I need to make a correction, I said FC/Guild but I meant Link-Shell. I'm one of only two Dragoons in my Guild now and I haven't had a chance to chat to my fellow guild Dragoon about their setup (they're probably going tank now anyway).

Who's said anything about an SS Dragoon? Everyone should be on the same page, STR > DET > Crit > SS as a base stat priority. Then when you try and optimise, you use stat-weights, and that basic understanding kinda goes hay-wire because of this...One says I should be prioritizing Skill Speed. Secondary stats are pretty trivial at this point in the game, get the highest STR piece you can find and call it a day.
This isn't anyone in this thread. The question was asked regarding what the Dragoons in a LS were saying, I came into this thread to confirm that what I thought: STR>DET>CRIT>SS was correct, which it was confirmed for me.

As someone who mains bard and decided a few days ago to FINALLY get Blood for Blood (my lancer was lvl22, just enough to get Invigorate), I used to hate lancer since I'm a sworn ranged classes lover. But while doing the class quests and more dungeons, I came to appreciate it. I am now a lvl31 dragoon and this thread really helped me. Even though I'm still low level I memorized the entire lvl50 rotation this morning (bored at school...) and really appreciated the help this thread provides. Right now it has 263 pages, and I'm not sure how I can find answers to my questions, so I'll just ask them here.
When switching targets, do I start my rotation over or just continue as I was doing?
At lvl50 while killing trash mobs that won't live long enough to justify the use of 3 DoTs, what should my rotation look like?
Right now at lvl31 Impulse Drive doesnt boost any other skill and doesnt quite fit in my untraited Heavy Thrust's buff duration. Should I still use it or wait until I get Disembowel?

At 50 when dealing with trash, I start Chaos combo on main target, swap to second target to drop Chaos thrust and Phl on them, back to main target.
Depending on the life of the mob, I pretty much always lead in with ID and Dis on a target. HT always up full time, Phl if mob will live longer then ten secs.
Your call on ID till you get Dis, but I would not bother with it, unless you want it for a filler for some reason
Has anyone tried a lower accuracy on t9 then the recommended 495?
I did about 2.5 hours @489 staying mainly on the side of darnus/golems as much as possible and only recorded 2 auto attack misses. Will try a accuracy slightly higher tonight hopefully but I doubt we need to go as high as 495. Depending on the exact value it could change our BiS, there is a large difference in gear between 493BiS and 495BiS.
Also slightly related for anyone with more t9 experience, is it advisable to go with the front accuracy of 515 due to the last phase positioning or is it easy enough to stay on flank/rear?
