Lock items ?? heh ill need/greed that item 100%, took me same effort and time, you have no right to lock gear, and yes ill join ur party just o need/greed the locked item
=/
If I gear lock, it usually means that's all I care about. x3Gear locking is common for Need/Greed party, don't see a problem other than people who double dipping in a need party.
I joined a coil group with the leader (a healer) locking healer belt AND tank hands in a Need party. The healer body drops, still rolls need on it without even thinking twice or ask if the other healer needed it. That's some shady double dipping, not only you are locking gears that is not your current job, you are still rolling need on everything you can use.

In that case, they can report you to a gm and youll get a nice visit. You joined the party and agreed to their terms, which GMs have already said it's against the rules to break.

Yea, this is usually why people lock gear, it is the last piece of the gear they need for that class.
So encouraging people that already have the locked piece but missing other pieces to join.
However, there are some people that are greedy and not only lock the piece they want but also will roll any other pieces that they can roll on.
Have fun with your ban.

Yup.
And trust me, when it comes to something like this, the GMs on this game are extremely active. I haven't had a player steal loot before, however every single time I've reported a player for harassment(even if he was harassing someone in my party, not me) I've ALWAYS had a GM personally respond to me in /tell.

If people don't like item locking, they should just ignore the PF party and move on, people take things wayyyy too seriously.
Who's foolish enough to enter a party like that? I can understand if it's an FC run and the person asks in advance for the piece, but a bunch of randoms? That don't fly.

Anyone who isn't looking for that item. It's not a big deal.
It doesn't bother me because most people don't lead parties for fear of responsibility or reputation. In that case, it doesn't bother me if someone takes the time to lead it and asks for something in return. If you don't agree with the terms, you don't join. It's really simple.
I don't do it often, but I've done it before. If I want to secure a good DPS, who is already geared out, he may only join for an off-job weapon. Since I know he's good and won't die to avoidable damage/mechanics, I don't mind doing that.

People that don't need that specific gear but need other gear.
Anyway, don't like the rules, don't join. If those runs are not popular, they wouldn't be able to get people to join. Not like that person is forcing you or tricking you. There are tons of other parties available. You can even make your own group if you don't like the rules others are making.
I also don't get why some people like to inform that they put someone on their blacklist. Just blacklist that person and get on with it! You don't need to inform anyone that you have blacklisted someone.
