That's something I haven't bothered to check. Interestingly, my WAR and I have had a lengthy discussion about Skill Speed. He's planning to go build a Skill Speed WAR (we've sort of done the math) so he can try have Inner Beast up at all times, especially with Fey Light on the go, which got me thinking about this situation. We discussed the TP issues and we both know for a fact that a Bards Army's Paeon will come into play somewhere.
TP will become an issue, but we can worry about that when the next Tier of Raiding Gear comes along. As I said in that document, currently, fracture only becomes relevant when we're 485ss + Fey Light. Using 1 Fracture every 60s minimum isn't going to hurt our TP that much.
Of course, once you get your Allagan Spear, you drop down to sub-454, this entire piece I wrote becomes irrelevant. But it's still something to keep in-mind. There's also Job changes in 2.3 (BLM changes confirmed), so who knows what might happen?
'Right, here it is. It's really long, so only read once you have 20-30 minutes spare, to actually understand what's going on. I basically break down the standard rotation and find the breaking point for it. That breaking point is "sort of" achievable, at which point we need another skill to fill the spot, or fracture.

tl;dr, At 630 SS (or 485 SS + Fey Light), which is also 2.2222r Skill Speed according to Purostriders research, we now fit in 9 skills in the space of what we would've fit in 8, thus making us clip our dots if we continue our standard rotation. Introducing Fracture somewhere once we're at 2.2222r GDC fixes it entirely, and gives us a much bigger DPS bosst.
tl;dr;tl;dr, 8WS/20S = no fracture. 9WS/20S = yes fracture.
Regardless it maybe pointless anyways... people need to take into account if you weave in jumps at that high of skill speed you will be stuck in animation eventhough you can use your next skill. Compound that 3 times and it could throw everything off.
I already suffer that issue at 428 SS
And I completely agree with you. That is something that we need to account for. The math I calculated with was the bare minimum rotation where it would theoretically work on paper, with 0 latency or without counting weaving.
At base 2.2222r GDC, 19.9998, you need absolutely no downtime. You'll need to live and play right next to the Server Trays in Montreal. At 494SS*1.3 , that's 2.210448 GDC, or 19.894032. That's now 0.11s for downtime, including jumps and animation locking. That's still too limited. For bursting, I wouldn't use fracture even with Fey Light what so ever, without much higher SS.
I can't remember the exact number, but it was around 383 we ended up at with i90 BiS, and were absolutely comfortable to do our rotation with jumps weaved, accounting for latency, moving around and maybe avoiding something. That was 2.457 GDC. So, if we follow a similar rule, we'll need approximately a GDC of 2.1792222, or 675 SS/1.3 = 519.23 SS + Fey Light to comfortably burst with Fracture.
Of course, this is all hypothetical, and I'm not suggesting we start changing our rotations because majority of this is pointless in Patch 2.2, but It's still interesting to see how SS can really help and cripple rotations. But the information is now there, so if someone feels crazy enough, and is pumping a lot of Skill Speed at the moment, well you can have free potency with very slight downside!
If you are at T9, or are beating T7, you are going to want the Astrum Mail more then not.
If you are not raiding, thus not going to be looking at Coil 2 gear, then yeah, the Wyrm Mail is better in overall stats because you do not have the accuracy being including the calculation in terms of DPS stats
We're actually on T9(just started) and like some others DRG.i will NOT buy the body until i need some accurary or i don't have anything left to buy.i'm already at 500 accuracy which is enough ofc.
I understand the fact that the body drops on T99 so it would be a good purchase. But the myth one with its 24 DET is as good as the chest lvl 100 even better if i remember well.Ofc with the oil it would be i110 so the +10 STR would be stronger than the myth chest even with the DET.But i really don't think DRG will boost the chest first honestly.Depend on people i guess but for me,chest as first purchase is not a good idea. There is others items who are better.
Chest should be either your last purchase, or if for whatever reason you're lacking on accuracy.
I bought it for the accuracy and main stat. I won't need the accuracy once I get the t6 to finally drop, but if I get head/hands I'll need it again.
Only piece you "need" is the ring from the vendor. If you were to use all high allagan you could just change your food and you'd meet the accuracy (apkallu omlette)

If whatever you're shooting doesn't die after you pump 8, 32 caliber, slugs into it, it's probably a dragon.
New to drg and I'm only 32. What is the current dps rotation? See too many contradictions and confusing theory crafting to guess what's right.
