It sucks, but it doesn't happen that often. I simply don't understand why people don't just form groups with friends or FC mates. Even party finder or shouting for groups will cut down on this problem. Heck, start your own FC for the sole purpose of never having to /random into a group. Rely on DF and you'll eventually have a bad day.

I blame Duty Roulette not allowing us to queue with friends. :L

They can design a degressive punishment.
The longer you stay, the weaker will be the punishment.

As for "they pay to play the game too"...indeed they do, but the duty roulette has rules and rewards. If you don't play by the rules (accepting whatever mission the roulette puts you in), you shouldn't deserve the reward.

Disconnected people don't "leave" the dungeon by themselves. They are thrown out of the dungeon by the game itself or by a vote from the party -> No penalty.

Maybe people will use that and simply don't move just to avoid the penalty, but waiting 10 minutes is useless when you can clear the dungeon, thus getting the reward, in 20 minutes

Because you must be alone when registering for the Duty roulette.

From my experience a FC group can clear a dungeon in about 1/3 the time it takes a random group thus making it faster to cap in FC group.

The problem with the system isn't that the penalty isn't long enough. It's that if you leave fast enough you do not get a penalty. You can drop at the start of a dungeon and instantly requeue, penalty free.

This was an issue in the past, they fixed it, and now it's broken again because...?

Sorry, but when I receive 120kXP bonus from a roulette, it's better than clearing in 3 times with a FC group

Hereby I apologize to everyone for leaving when I figured out that I got Toto-Rak YET AGAIN.
But the two DPS also got Toto-Rak, only they had to wait half an hour for it. And now, because you left, they have to wait another half hour to get into another dungeon. What makes you think that you deserve to be able to leave, and they don't?

Who says they can't leave? People can do whatever they want we have no obligation to who we party with to stay and finish just because they haven't cleared. Sure it's common courtesy, but there's only so much a person can take from the long and painful horrid dungeon grind in this game. I don't do duty roulette because I don't like doing any of the low level dungeons.

Agreed, people have no obligation to stay if they don't want to, but I agree with the people above saying that if you bail at the start that it should forfeit your daily bonus for the day. The whole point of duty roulette is that it puts you into a random dungeon to get the bonus. Don't like the dungeon? That's a shame, because you shouldn't be able to dungeon hop non stop until you get the one you want for your bonus. It screws over 3 other people each and every time you do it.

Imagine actually playing roulette IRL. You place your bet, but you lose. Only each time you lose, you get all your money back via 3 random people around you. You play again, and lose. You take money from 3 random people around you again. Rinse repeat until you finally win, all while @#$%ing each and every person you came into contact with in the process.
