There needs to be a more severe punishment for quitters...

I usually main as a healer but have been having a lot of fun with the BLM lately. I had heard stories of the long wait times DSP has to get in but it didn't bother me too badly. Until now...

For the past 5 days I've gotten people who quit the instance as soon as it starts. They are obviously Duty Roulette people who just don't like whatever dungeon they ended up with. 9/10 times the quitter is a tank, the other 1/10 it's a healer. Since they can usually get into ques quickly they don't mind the 20 minute "penalty" but little do they care that the DPS classes have been waiting that long (or longer) just to get into the thing in the first place. Inevitably you have to leave because no one shows up to replace them and thus wait for another 20+ minutes just to get another quitter...

They really should make the punishment for quitting a duty more severe. ESPECIALLY if it's right when it starts! Rage quitting is another beast entirely. This is just selfish and inconsiderate.

How about this: If you're registered for DR and quit you forfeit your daily bonus. I think that seems fair since quitting defeats the whole purpose of both the roulette and the bonus in the first place.

i disagree untill se make daily bonus the same across the board including the dungon normal reward its like only gettin 20 myth normally one area so ull get 40 when others give u way more i hate getting stuck with wp or ak constantly and there are relly bad players and trolls

So this is the kind of person that quits, and this is their jutification for it.

There should be no penalty at all if I want to quit for whatever reason then so be it.

Btw I only quit if I deem the party hopeless or an asshole in the party.

Hmmmm... Yes, there needs to be some means for those facing abuse to egress penalty-free. Any suggestions?

The main problem i have found is the duty roulette does not favor filling empty spots. My wife was in a HM party for her low level roulette and they lost their tank. I clicked the in progress box and signed up for duty roulette low level, waited 2 mins and never got in. I signed up for HM in progress and was immediately taken in to help her.

Im sure SE did it that way so people wouldn't have easy duty roulette and just spam for in-progress, but its become counter productive now were you cant find any replacements if people leave.

Well next time check in progress on the actual dungeon instead of the roulette your chances would've been 90% better.

Quitting because a party sucks or are jerks is completely different. These are people who quit before anything even starts. Voting to abandon when it's obviously not going to happen is fine.

But I will get the same penalty, that's my point. Why should I or anyone else be punished because they joun a dungeon with a group of friends that are "jerks"? If I see someone in party list I know is a "jerk" damn right I will leave before the gate open and catch no penalty at all.
