Skill spam in city

Anytime I know I will be doing a large amount of crafting (re: food) I fly to some remote place, like Bronze Lake. In addition to the change of scenery, I can also enjoy peace and quiet. If you need access to retainers/market boards, you can also just go to one of the housing areas, as its also quiet there. Plus its an excuse to leave town!

I honestly find the constant sounds of crafting all around the Aetheryte Plazas (and in every other corner everywhere) in every single starting city as annoying as hell, but I haven't said anything about it because in reality, why does it matter?

To me it is the completely other way around, the sound of crafters is like the trafic going through the street in front of my house.
The gibberish and footsteps is like the people having a smoke outside of the bar further down the street and the pedestrians walking by.
It's all sound but it's a constant type of sound so you get used to it and learn to mentally filter it.

The skillspam on the other hand is that one motorist that decides to go full throttle on his flashy motorcycle while waiting for the trafic lights to go green, it serves no other purpose than to provide him with a few seconds of joy, looking flashy and to startle and annoy the hell out of the people standing around.
You can't mentally block it because it's something that suddenly happens and takes you by surprise, and not placing the fault with the player directly, it is also a deafeningly loud sound which overtakes all the other sounds in the surrounding area.

Sure, there is the option of turning it of in game, but I'd rather not have to do that as doing that also takes out a lot of other things that add to the game's ambience like emotes.

That said, I do all my crafting at our Company house these days as I know that also that sound annoys other people around me.

I honestly find the sound effects of crafters to be far more annoying. I wish crafting could only happen in specific places.

Use your sound controls...OR go to Housing Wards. They have their own Summoning Bells, Marketboards, and hardly anyone can afford to live there right now so if you want peace and quiet, you'll certainly get it.

Just craft in the Arcanist's basement. There's only a couple of hissing Carbuncles down there.

first i found the stuff ..and second i wrote "one reason" im crafting next to the levelquest guy to finish it fast. Why would i have to run more just to be in a quiet place cos some people want to spam ...

I was not asking to punish them or ask them to stop spamming.
I was asking for something to help me not heard them without stoping them to do what they love to do. is it bad??? do you all need to be rude and say "Just leave the town" or " crafting are more annoying"

just to tell you when you fish or craft .. if your camera is close you hear the sound LOUD ... back up the camera you hear less the sound. and its same if its someone else crafting back up from him the sound will lower
But for WHM and DRG action ....even if you go away but stay in the same zone. You still hear it LOUD

So what wrong of asking for something i didnt know we already had to be add to help without blocking other to do what they want???????

I’m glad you were able to find the setting to adjust the volume of sound effects from other players.

In the same vein, we’ve been receiving feedback mentioning that <se.#> can often be alarming as there is no specific sound setting to adjust the volume of this feature. As such, the development team will be looking into whether they can address this in some way as quickly as possible.
