Skill spam in city

Spamming skills in town has led to some awesomely flashy parties. :3 Love those.

The emote spam... there IS a mechanic in game for that, add 'motion' to the end. So for example, macro (or type) /laugh motion. It's whether people take the time to use this feature that is the problem. :/

LOL Seeing that you're a Dragoon and you saying that made my jaw drop. Leviathan, particularly in Gridania, is notorious for DRG to spam their AoE around the boards.

Honestly, I don't even see a purpose for being able to use combat skills in the main cities. It's not like there's monster/beast tribe raids that happen or anything, so why allow it at all?

They are probably going to add such content in the game in the future or thought about the possibility so they went ahead and coded it so they wouldn't have to later. And that doesn't necessarily mean it will happen in existing nation areas, or even in the present day.

While it's not perfect it only takes a minute to find and change the appropriate settings and now I've changed it I won't ever be changing it back lol, the peace and quiet is nice when I'm crafting.

OT kinda, but I really miss how "powerful" some of these blm spells felt in 1.0. In 2.0+ they just feel so tame.

I don't mind it once or twice, but spamming it constantly over a period of time... people must have no creativity to lull that boredom.

Your giving these people far too much credit, they do it because they "know" it annoys people who will most likely "not" report them.

Crafting skills do not need muted in cities, as Synapse said its a city, DoW, DoM skills could and should be disabled in cities, and if people complain, too bad.

Well, think of it this way. Lv50 was the pinnacle of 1.0 Flare is now the "half way" point. Think about the spells you'll get with the coming level increases down the road...
