FFXI DRG Pet Wyvern Minion

Screw minion, I want a dragon mount.

Maybe as a minion, but really DRG would probably get heavily nerfed in order to balance between the two. Somehow I think the problems that exist with the FFXI wyvern would happen here too (IE: Getting easily killed).

You know though, a Dragoon gaining the powers of a dragon doing something like breath attacks somewhat similar to Reis Duelar in FF Tactics once we get a higher level cap might be a good go-between.

Actually, there already technically is a dragon minion available in the game.

I have two reasons why I won't play a lancer. One is naturally no Wyvern (I miss you so much, Solaire!!!) And the second is I really don't want to play a class that may go down in history as the most complicated class to play right since WoW's cat druids.

So I whole heartedly approve of a back flipping ff11 wyvern minion.

I wonder how many dragoons in game would gladly take that huge nerf in damage output to balance the pet (which is a pipe dream itself since Yoshi-p stated already that XIV != XI and wyvern is highly unlikely)

Aye, not to mention the Dragoon Lore in XIV in itself is very anti-dragon, and would likely not tolerate any association with them without being branded as a heretic and likely hunted down by the Isguardian Empire for doing so.

How about a wyvern mount for dragoon specifically? Whm mount , war mount, pld mount. So why not a drg mount? Is that so hard to believe? I for one think this above all else would suffice. Much more stylish then some ole minion anyhow.

Just as long as they make it an equally difficult challenge. Something along the lines of not falling off of the edge or dying to weight of the land in Titan HM. While playing as DRG of course.
