FFXI DRG Pet Wyvern Minion

We already have a dragon minion, wtf guys.

And a dragon as a pet, a wyvern as a pet, sorry but not happening because, no matter if we use dragonic powers to defeat dragons, we do it to defeat dragons, and even if we, as adventurers could even like dragons, we are still part of a realm and Ishgard and the Holy See is part of that realm, we petting a dragon means we could not ever into Ishgard till something really bad or good happens to the actual order of Ishgard, which mind you, still the strongest City State of Eorzea, tho closed cause its crusade.

Lore would allow it, if something changes in the course of dravian war. As it now, its impossible.

Now gameplay wise... really guys? Dragoon is not complex enough already to want a Dragon pet and have to micromanage it? Damn...

Ffxi and ffxiv dragoon lore are basically exactly the same. In ffxi there was a group of san d'orian knights who trained to fight dragons and hunted them near to extinction. During the quest you find a dragon egg and hatch it. The dragoon then comes and is going to murder the baby dragon but chooses not to and instead entrusts it to you to raise it to be good.

I'm against getting a dragon pet but I've nothing against a dragon minion. And to those saying ishgard would never allow us to have a dragon, I point you to the quest for the wolf pup, it's illegal in Limsa and yet the yellow jackets tell you to keep it. No reason they couldn't make a quest where the ishgardians entrust a baby wyvern to you.

We are talking about a minion, I don't think lore is really relevent when it comes to minions. Pretty sure half of them are enemies.

I do not want DRG to become a pseudo pet class like SMN, but a wyvern mount would be nice. (Like how CNJs get unicorns)

I think this would be a great idea. The pet wyvern had a unique model and I think would fit in perfectly well as a reward of some kind for unlocking DRG. (Maybe like how you unlock the unicorn mount at 30 WHM?)

I miss my wyvern too. Oboro and I had such good times together. I started as a LNC in this game, and right away was given a Pudgy Puk minion by a friendly FC member. I thought that was so perfect, he's just a little dragon!

Dragoon are dragon killers, maybe my dragoon will kill a dragon that attacked the city, but it was pregnant, so a small baby dragon falls out thinks im its mama? maybe i will make him into my pet.
