You know someone's got a weak point when the only thing they can resort to doing is calling an opposing opinion a "troll". Something that does not benefit you right now but benefits you later still benefits you, unless of course you give up.
Doesn't matter if you have atma or not, it does not change how grindy the book portion is. I also strongly believe a lot of whining people stuck on Atma that are saying "oh the book portion is a lot more fun!" are just simply saying that out of frustration and would most likely have whined about that if the Atma portion never existed and we started at books.
I don't consider myself "lucky", having 14 Atmas myself with over 1400 FATEs completed. The difference between me and you though, is that I actually know what the book portion is like, and you don't. And I've found that farming the 13500 myth to even purchase the books is far more time consuming than farming 12 Atma.
You cannot farm myth quickly by yourself. Assuming perfect circumstances (6-8min bray first two boss runs, a good party is always available to grind with, the runs are perfect and nobody screws up, and minimal time is spent between runs), that's 270 brayflox speedruns at 41 hours assuming each run takes 9 minutes including time spent between runs. Throw in the time spent for the average person waiting on parties and time spent on errors or slow runs and that number goes significantly higher. And if you're a DPS that isn't a Black Mage/Bard? Too bad because most PFs only take those and myth runs take significantly longer without a Black Mage. I'm an i94 BLM capable of making runs take 6 minutes and I still have spent significantly more time farming the Myth than farming Atmas.
One can even argue that the most effective way to farm myth is an even more tedious boring grind because you repeat literally the same thing for hours, while the most effective way to farm Atma has more variety to it.
And don't think the RNG goes away when you get to books either, because you'll end up waiting on FATEs that can take up to 4+ hours to spawn. Some of those FATEs are activated only by talking to NPCs, meaning you
have to camp the area they spawn at or you will never see them pop.
But who cares. I can have an opinion backed up by several valid points and be called a troll by whiny forum posters salty about not having Atmas.
