Because apparently luck is a skill just look at me I have a million Atmas thus I'm a better person than you, and also telling the devs they're perfect and can do no wrong helps them more than actually providing feedback on how to improve regardless of how it's worded even if the minority loves disregarding everything as "whining", funnily enough they also hate being called a minority even though that's what they really are. There's a fix coming anyway thanks to all the feedback posted, they delayed the next step due to how badly executed the previous step was so at least they're admitting their mistakes and doing something about it, though we'll have to wait and see how, in the end this harmful minority loses just like always.
There is alternatives to atmas and the entire relic quest line. People just can't be bothered to do coil or farm levi ex. If people don't want to do the alternatives, they have to put up with the grind of atmas.
I really enjoyed the atma part of the relic and hated the books of the braves. I would have rather farmed 24 atmas in exchange for only doing half of those awful books.Yeah I read a lot and have been told the BOOK PORTION of the relic quest is actually great fun, but NO ONE has told me Atma is fun and even some Hardcore players I speak to want it nerfed to oblivion.
I'd be happy if they nerfed atma to 1 stone requirement but added double the books TBH lol
At least with fates for the atma portion, you are out in the open world experiencing variability. The books are a nightmare in contrast. It takes three hours of non-stop farming brayflox with 5 1/2 min runs to get a book and then you get to wait hours for three specific fates to pop up.

Or more like there is no indication in any of my posts of trying to convince anyone they're wrong about being upset.Because apparently luck is a skill just look at me I have a million Atmas thus I'm a better person than you, and also telling the devs they're perfect and can do no wrong helps them more than actually providing feedback on how to improve regardless of how it's worded even if the minority loves disregarding everything as "whining", funnily enough they also hate being called a minority even though that's what they really are. People sure love to equate "Y is worse than X" with "X is fine how it is".
lol logic
And no side can be reasonably called a minority without data/proof to back it up. For all we know, the majority of players may not even care either way. And the ones that don't care aren't going to go out of their way to post feedback saying so.

People with different opinions are the harmful minority now? Get over yourself.Because apparently luck is a skill just look at me I have a million Atmas thus I'm a better person than you, and also telling the devs they're perfect and can do no wrong helps them more than actually providing feedback on how to improve regardless of how it's worded even if the minority loves disregarding everything as "whining", funnily enough they also hate being called a minority even though that's what they really are. It's like reading the Divergent series of books.
I digress, there's a lot of hatred/rage going on and this is just not a productive discussion. When people can engage without utilizing insulting language, that will be helpful. But the evidence in the issue is that since 2.2 there have been nothing but post after post of disapproval with this new system.
Like it or don't, that is what I would call a majority speaking out and saying it's not fun. In addition to this no one I've ever spoken to in game has ever had a kind word to say about Atma and it's not as if they're just kidding when they say they dislike it.
This is killing subscriptions.
The issue isn't the amount of time being spent it is the fact that the time amount is based completely on luck. People would prefer books taking twice as long just because with the books you know exactly what needs to be done and how long it takes to do it is entirely up to you. Atma however can either be a walk in the park or your worst nightmare and there is nothing you can do to change that.
TLDR: Time is fine, Luck is not.
Opinions can be harmful just like opinions CAN be wrong. Anyway if the quest was so perfect and well executed they wouldn't have delayed the next step, especially because they already expected not many people would have an Atma let alone an Animus so it's obvious the numbers fell much lower than the low numbers they already had in mind thus the quest execution failed. The majority opinion was that the RNG was bad and unfair and it's a major gate towards starting the real quest and wouldn't allow many people to progress, looks like they were right and they're changing the next step because of this majority and all their feedback, that's all there is to it.
Would it have been better if SE said you needed to do 2,000 fates to get the next step in the relic? Which extremely long grind would you prefer for an ilvl110 weapon? Most of the alternative suggestions I have seen put for by people who want an animus weapon (and eventually the novus weapon) are things that could be done within a week.
You want one of the best weapons to take a weeks worth of time? IMHO, weapons need to takes months to work towards. Weapons are one of the best, if not the best, upgrades your an make to your gear.
