The only real point i see here is the Hp% which is an oversight on SE's part, the idea that pushing a boss too hard causing a wipe while not done in this exact way Has been done before in other MMOs. So the real issue here is Not knowing exactly when to slow up the dps but as stated by someone in a previous post the boss in T1 people flat out stoped dps to make sure he didnt split with stacks up so not like people havent figured out how to handle not dpsing.
