I've actually gotten 2 since patch where I was stuck before at 5 for weeks, so I'm not sure that SE didnt do some sort of a stealth tweak behind the scenes.. I sure wouldnt put it past them.

9 Atmas in 3 days, since then (its 12 days now) not a single drop. I have done about 1000 Fates since then....suck it...
This atma grind has left a bad taste in my mouth. 30 hours on east shroud no atma. total time doing fates for atma's 50+ hours # of atma recived 4 of 12. Is this seriously right? so in order to progress i have to eather 1 be in a hardcore group to pass turn 6-9 or leviathan ex or 2 farm soldary and atma till the next patch. Sorry but i cant pay for this anymore. Too many things are based on eather rng or perfect timing on servers that you cannot rely on. There's just nothing for the casual players that cannot compete with top tier players. 2.1 ex primals are still too difficult to do with most groups and t5 launch content is still too hard for 80% Of the population. And if anyone has lag on titan ex even a little bam game over. I was hoping at least i could get this atma since i'm not a perfect player. Now i have to be a player with no life or job to go the atma route. Both ways i lose. I am having trouble finding the will to keep playing and paying.
I think you just came to the forums to grief and cut down others for being frustrated. It's not constructive and quite toxic behavior. Don't need to cut others down for voicing their opinions. We are trying to get the dev's to understand our frustration. your quote on the bottom sums it all up. "Atmas are too hard? I guess no one here has farmed cards on Ragnarok Online =O" That is put there for the sole purpose of griefing others to make fun of our frustration. Please do not add the the already frustrated player base.Rather than choose one piece of what I said that serves your point, how about trying to look at what I said after that too? "the vast majority were gotten in 1-2 hours, all in all it's not THAT bad". Do not pick and choose my words, it makes you look ignorant, and only serves to hurt your agenda
Well to those of you complaining about those complaining, so easy to say when you have your atma already.
Like others i have easily put in over 60 hrs since 2.2 has come out ( a few hours a night) and been 2 weeks straight for the one in thanalan without a drop.
True atma is not "hard" in the sense that it takes no skill simply good luck, this is what should be fixed, atmas should be received based on skill i think or at least having to complete certain trials.
Not this oh we are implementing something new so let's just add it as random drops and in fates
I think you all should have to suffer like the rest of us. Get over it. I will actually lobby against changing the requirements or drop rates at this point. Since so many people have theirs it would be unfair.
I have mine already and am absolutely in favor of changing the current system.
I do not find it "unfair" in any way, shape or form just because I already have mine.
I guess it was also fair for Square to delay the Novus patch for you guys because not enough people got Animus weapons, right?
Skill? What skill? And how will this "skill" be judged? Who's to say someone's "skill" isn't as good as someone else's or even better than? If atma were based on "skill," we'd just have the same problem coming up: people complaining about other people being able to get theirs easier than other themselves.
The only way to "alleviate" acquiring atmas would be a guaranteed drop from something, much like everything else in this game. But then you'd have the problem of people complaining it's "too easy to get."
Either way, it's a lose-lose situation.
As I say every time someone brings this up: if you make it "skill" based, this option will immediately become just as inaccessible as the other options going for. If you can't clear Coil, EX Primals, etc, then this option is going to become just as useless to that person as those options. If you want a skill option, let's just all do Coil and be done with it.Skill? What skill? And how will this "skill" be judged? Who's to say someone's "skill" isn't as good as someone else's or even better than? If atma were based on "skill," we'd just have the same problem coming up: people complaining about other people being able to get theirs easier than other themselves.
Change the quest so that it isn't RNG that isn't in your favor (not once, but 12 times) on top of a large amount of grinding and the amount of complaining will fall through the floor. Most people don't care about the time invested as long as the time invested isn't gated by something else that is just a test of luck.
Give something for the people that love RNG grindfests and you have something for everyone. Some people like endless grinding for reasons I cannot fathom, so let them do their thing without interfering with the rest of us who actually want progress.
They already said they were looking at multiple ways to get materials for the quests, though I don't know if this is going to be just for future parts of the quests, or if they'll be adding this into the initial Atma line, but its probably something they've considered (though it shouldn't stop actual feedback).
