Yes please!Love it, but I'd reeeally love more gear that's purely cosmetic. More of the level 1 only-good-for-glamour style things in the vein of the Spring Dress and Glacial Coat and Taffeta Shawl. ESPECIALLY entirely new things; why can't we just have an update where most/all of the recipe are cosmetic, and not so hellishly difficult to get the materials for? The whole reason I started my crafting with weaver was to make outfits, but it feels so limited right now, with most gear being slight recolors/styles of older gear.
It has definitely added flavor to the community in terms of character. For a lot of people, it give an outfit to match the name. I don't mean literally matching, but similar to how when someone says "Yoshida" you picture the face that goes with it. I think that's the best part of the new system.
P.S. Obviously I'd like it right? My whole character is a chocobo knight. I'd waited a long time to be able to do that.

It's a sailor shirt dyed pink, and I believe those are patrician leggins, and the mogwand, but can't glamour that one so I don't use it in dungeons
And I also have the coronal wristband but not in the picture![]()

Not sure if this was said before.
When I first heard about the Glamour system, I envisioned it being implemented in a completely different way.
I assumed you would be recording the image of the item onto the glamour prism to use on whatever piece of equipment was able to use it.
So let's say you want to wear the Acolyte's Robe as you're glamour outfit.
You record the image of it onto a prism and then equip that prism to whatever item you want to cover up.
Which would lend itself to retaining the ability to unequip that prism and equip it over a different piece or even on a different class.
For example, you have the robe glamoured over your level 50 WHM piece.
Then you decide you want to level ACN and want to glamour it over your level 20 piece.
You should be able to just unequip the glamour prism with the image of that robe from your WHM and equip it onto your level 20 piece on your ACN.
But instead you have to go and buy the proper level prism, find the Acolyte's Robe that's probably in storage, and re-glamour it over your level 20 piece.
THEN do it again once you outlevel that piece, which will be fairly soon...
The way they made the system is weird to me, but I guess they wanted it to be sort of a gil sink?
It kinda sucks that if you want to wear a certain set that you would have to glamour it multiple times over every job/class that you want to wear it.
I stand corrected. Thank you for showing me!Actually, as long as the projected item can be dyed, you can easily dye the glamoured item without using another prism. Just bring up the item submenu on the glamoured base item. Dye should be an option -if- the projected item is dyeable. I use this to change the color of the projected Patrician's bottom that I use for several jobs and nearly all of the base items are undyeable tome items. Meanwhile I haven't had to dye the actual Patrician's bottom at all.
