    Glamour Opinions

I know, I know, I can just go check out the other threads, but I need to get statements people would like exposed to the reading public.

So, I do want to ask: What do you all think about the Glamour System? Anything you'd like to change? Hate it?

    Love it?

Please note that some or all responses will be used in an upcoming article for Gamer Escape.

Mostly it's fine. I just don't think each crafting class needs 4 tiers of glamour prism. Makes things needlessly complicated.

yeah, especially since all 5 tiers of glamour prisms cost the same to make. Ie, the grade 1 clear prisms cost the same and the grade 5, and all prisms used the same mats. if their all identical in value it seems pretty nonsense to have 5 grades of prisms. Should be just one per craft.

The glamour system is awesome. A little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's great.

My only complaint is if you have to cast the glamour all over again if you want to dye a different color.

I like the glamour but I hate that some nice outfits are restricted from DoM but a DoW can wear both. The only problem I have with it because I've seen so many pieces I wanted for my WHM. :<

No you don't have to glamour again to dye. Just dye your glamoured piece if it can be dyed.

Most BIS gear cannot be dyed. Example. I equip bards shirt. Glamour cotton shirt to it. Then, if I decide to dye cotton shirt, it stays the original color rather than the newly dyed color. Which is dumb since the actual cotton shirt in my inventory is the newly dyed color.

Actually, as long as the projected item can be dyed, you can easily dye the glamoured item without using another prism. Just bring up the item submenu on the glamoured base item. Dye should be an option -if- the projected item is dyeable. I use this to change the color of the projected Patrician's bottom that I use for several jobs and nearly all of the base items are undyeable tome items. Meanwhile I haven't had to dye the actual Patrician's bottom at all.

As for my own opinion of the system: Except for the class limitation on projected gear, I mostly love it. It's especially great for those in-between phases while farming better gear sets. You no longer have to look like you got dressed in the dark. Unless that's your kind of thing.

I only wish we could use any gear for vanity so long as it followed the slots occupied and ilvl rule. As mentioned the rule requiring the projected gear to be wearable by the job short changes DoM. And I would absolutely love to wear some of our crafting "AF" to fight bad guys in.

I stand corrected. Thank you for showing me!

I can't stand it honestly. If there were restrictions in place to keep Bikini's and the like out of it I think I'd be okay with it. As it is I feel like I log into a virtual strip club every day.

Actually, a setting to hide all Glamours would be probably be best. If someone wants to run around in a bikini 24/7 they should be able to, but I shouldn't be forced to see it.
