Aside from the aforementioned tiered system, and the fact that the creating them and using them are not mirrored in requirements (same recipe seems odd to me), I really think the class restrictions is ridiculous.

Lore-wise: I am a savior of the realm, have proven worthy of the drachen mail, and have been granted garbs imbued with the power of the departed A-Towa-Cant...
But all that's out the window because I put on a pair of knuckledusters. Seriously?

If your character can equip it then your character should be able to glamour it.

A setting to allow a user to not see everyone else's glamours would be nice as well, for those that would be turned off by a DRG in MNK robes.

I am glad that they did put the glamor system in, but I am a firm believer that it should have just been an extra tab on your character sheet that you drag and drop items on. This would have prevented a lot of issues with the current system like the multi-slot items as well as allowed for extra customizations like hiding your gloves.

I would like to see some of the class restrictions lifted, or loosened to something along the lines of "If you can equip on any of your classes."

Like others have said, the grades is just overly complex and cumbersome. I shouldn't have to make a shopping list to glamor a set.

I kind of wish they were more lenient about which classes you can glamour onto. I kind of want the ALC coat for my WHM q.q

I can't stand it honestly. If there were restrictions in place to keep Bikini's and the like out of it I think I'd be okay with it. As it is I feel like I log into a virtual strip club every day.

Actually, a setting to hide all Glamours would be probably be best. If someone wants to run around in a bikini 24/7 they should be able to, but I shouldn't be forced to see it.

I believe the virtual strip club comes in patch 2.4 as an add on to the gold saucer. You know, to further corrupt your soul.

I hate the class/job restrictions and the ilvl restrictions - otherwise, it's a decent (if overly complicated) system. But seriously, if I've leveled up and earned the gear once, I should be able to make use of it in glamours on any other jobs, regardless of level/type. I earned the gear. Let me use it how I please.

I love it so much! Sometimes I ran things like Main scenario with the Acolyte's gear cause I wanted to look like a pirate. But well... I wasn't very effective in the dungeon. So the glamour system let's me look how I want to look and it's perfect for me.

I mean, the white mage ilvl 100 looks awful

I like the glamour system, but find some of the restrictions frustrating. In particular the recent decision to now make it possible to dye the very much obsolete Darklight Cowls, but to not also make it possible to Glamour them over your current gear.

My only problem is that you can glamour gear from another grand company.
I switched from twin adder to the maelstrom, got to max rank for the spear, officer gloves and legs, and glamoured them, switched back to twin adder and found out the glamour didn't stay.
And none of this was mentioned as a restriction, except that your class could equip it.

Other than that I am fine with it.

You can't glamour gear that your character cannot wear, the same as if you are a Blm and can't glamour Pld armor. If you are in one GC you -cannot- use another GC's armor/weapons, so you can't glamour them either.

I figured that was common sense.

I've gotta echo the whole needless Teir system, like others have said especially becuase all the recipes are the same. or at least if you're going to make it teired, don't make them all lvl 50 crafts.

and some of the restrictions. I understand not wanting Healers that look like Tanks, etc...but seriously some stuff would be woderful and I got rid of all my dated gear a long time ago (before 1.0 ended as I thought it was going to be deleted but then I guess you could say that was my own fault)

Love it, but I'd reeeally love more gear that's purely cosmetic. More of the level 1 only-good-for-glamour style things in the vein of the Spring Dress and Glacial Coat and Taffeta Shawl. ESPECIALLY entirely new things; why can't we just have an update where most/all of the recipe are cosmetic, and not so hellishly difficult to get the materials for? The whole reason I started my crafting with weaver was to make outfits, but it feels so limited right now, with most gear being slight recolors/styles of older gear.
