You want the game to be quick and easy, fine. Let me do what I want to do. I want to be able to move while casting, because that's how it could be done 10 years ago when MMOs started coming out. This new age where wizards and casters have to stand still and cast is absolute bull...

Take away everyone's ability to move and attack with melee at the same time. Because if you can't say FIRE while moving, why the hell should someone with a pole, or sword and shield, or axe, or bow that's several times heavy than a staff be able to wield their weapon while moving is unfair.
I remember back in my D&D days, you couldn't move while casting normally either. Depending on the spell of course, oh that's how it is now too.

What I don't understand is why the cast get interrupted when the target move behind you before the cast end. This was not in 1.0
Because you have to be facing the target when the spell finishes. This is pretty standard for offensive spells.

During 1.0, moving the head was all that was needed to face the target, not to move the whole body to the direction.

I played 1.0 from release, I know how it worked. It doesn't change that it wasn't a normal system. And yes, people ASKED for the way it is now.

I was about to post this if no one else mentioned it. Mages not being able to move while casting has a loooong history.
I am personally okay with the concept that our strength is burst damage while our weakness is not being able to move.
