I have a few issues with that statement.
1.) If a tank thinks he can tank a fate boss solo, expecting people to heal him out of the kindness of their hearts, he fails at reality.
2.) If a tank is in a party with a healer, and dies, then gets mad at other healers outside his party for not healing him to, he also fails at reality.
3.) If a tank is tanking a fate boss solo, and does not have a healer chocobo by his side, he fails at reality yet again.
4.) If a tank dies to a fate boss with a healer chocobo in healer stance by his side, he fails at his job, and should choose a new one ASAP. If you can't stay alive with a healer chocobo on a tank job, just stop. Do everyone else a favor, and find something else.
Why would a tank run up to a fate boss, with no healing or support whatsoever, and expect random strangers to heal him? That is an epic failure in common sense right there, son. If you're solo, use a healer chocobo. Problem solved. If you don't want to solo, invite a healer. Problem solved. You Leroy Jenkins your way into a fight with no healing on your side whatsoever, and you deserve everything you get as a result. I've tanked fate boss after fate boss as a BRD with my trusty healer chocobo. I've soloed many a fate boss with my trusty healer chocobo. It's plain blind stupidity to rely on the kindness of strangers rather than doing what you can to help yourself. That applies to all aspects of life, not just video games. The only one you have to blame for a death at a fate is yourself, because either you weren't smart enough to use a healer chocobo, or too antisocial to invite a healer or join a party. Fortune smiles upon those who help themselves, rather than those who complain about others not doing their jobs when he has given them no reason to care, or even notice, that he even exists. The sad fact of the matter is that most people are not going to take notice of you or even care that you exist. Some might, but a lot of others won't. They have their own things to do, and don't usually care so much about you. Most of them probably have their healer chocobos out and expect you to have one too, so they see no need to bother healing you, because you should have been smart enough to bring one of your own in the first place. Many people are so focused on what they're doing, or not even paying attention to what they're doing because they're doing the 17,000th fate for the atma and watching TV, forum hopping, or reading while spamming one button. It's pretty unrealistic to expect them to pay attention to you, a random stranger for whom they have no care, while you run in unprepared and get yourself killed. And just FYI, some players still have trouble with all the characters at a fate loading up. Don't blame them if they can't see or target you due to crappy internet, PS3, or low end PC loading issues. You could be standing right next to them, and they would never see you. You could ask for cures all you want, and they could never target you to heal you. If you're expecting everyone to have a system capable of playing the game flawlessly, and an internet connection that is up to par with it, you're highly deluded. I get that it's a pet peeve of yours, but to me, it's all on you to provide your own healing in a fate where it's usually always every man for himself. It's been happening like that since the game's release. And it's not going to change because you haven't caught on yet, no matter how much you may complain about it. Get yourself a healer chocobo. It makes you virtually immortal so long as you can dodge the occasional AoE.
