Indeed, every patch feels like it was rushed..in just some way. Heck even the 2.0 "update" felt like some stuff was a rush job, the relics were the "perfect pace" to push people through it compared to XI/1.x, but in the end it kinda felt like some stuff was thrown in for the sake of it, much like Atmas - Some FATEs you can get them don't even correlate to the zodiac sign lol.

The animus progression is honestly what a lot of people expected even for the first relic (since it was kind of like the 1.x version of the relic) so that part is fine, just the Atmas, much like Titan, was clearly meant to "gate" it which will keep people "busy" - That's the problem with this kind of patch design, instead of making something that is truly lasting, they'll block progress by either extreme RNG, Weekly lockouts or gated behind other stuff some people haven't cleared, e.g you have a large amount of people who didn't clear the first set of extreme primals and in order to do Leviathan or Moogle ex, you need to clear the first "ex primal quest."
