I wanted a whimsical silly name for my lala character, and the monk class in particular, so Peony Punchup was born. The inspiration for this came from a character called Penelope Pitstop, for some reason that character name was floating around in my head at the time! I usually pick serious character names for characters, and wanted something different too.

Ever since I was younger and I got into RPG's or any game that allowed me to name characters myself, I would name my main or only character "Marik". I can't honestly remember where I first found that name. When I got into Yu-Gi-Oh and got to Battle City season, and discovered there was a character named Marik I just squeed all over the place! So then most of my character names started to become "Yamimarik", but thanks to FFXI I got tired quickly over people calling me just "Yami" @.@

So that's Marik.

"Destiel". If any SPN fans are around, and love pairings, well Destiel is my OTP <3 for this fandom. Doesn't matter what their relationship is, from fanfics as lovers, to the show as just having a "profound bond". I just love these two characters "Castiel" + "Dean" together in anything and everything! Plus Destiel just rolls off the tongue for me, so was just perfect to have as a surname since it was a first for me in a MMORPG.

Azucena is Spanish for lily, and is most commonly used to represent the Madonna lily, and Calix is Greek for most beautiful or very handsome.

That and I like A, X and Z names. :3

Richter Valens: Richter means "judge" in German, it was the name of my FFXI character so I carried it over. Valens taken directly from Chloe Valens from Tales of Legendia (my favorite sword wielder in the Tales series). Valens is like valor, so strength, etc. I though it was kidna cool to put in with Richter (judge of valor? ) Then later someone pointed out to me that it's also really close to the singer Richard Valenzuela, a.k.a. Ritchie Valens. Not that I'm complaining, but it made me laugh since I hadn't even considered the similarity xD

My alt is Tanith Aurion. Tanith (Tanit) was a Phoenician goddess of war, the moon, and fertility iirc. Was the deity of Carthage as well. Aurion from Kratos Aurion in Tales of Symphonia. Aurion means "morning" in (ancient?) Greek, if I recall.

I used an online anagraming tool to rearrange the letters of my real life name into a name that's suitably Hellsguard Roegadyn-ish as according to FFXIV naming lore. It's not perfect; apparently female Hellsguard usually have a flower or plant for the second of their two names, but I like it.

First name is an MST3K reference. I've used it (and various other punctuations) in MMOs since FFXI. "Kai" is the Greek symbol for "and." Didn't want both my first and last name to be long & annoying to type.
