I'm a writer and have used the name "Serenity Perkins" as a fictional alter ego of myself. Thenceforth: Serenity Perkins.

Since I have two avatars, I will describe for both of them.

For my first one, it was simply a matter of stylizing my real name to make my first name more Germanic and my last name more Old English as a way to recognize my family heritage because it is something that is very important to me.

For my second avatar, once I discovered that "Lancer" was the name of a playable fighting class, it made me think about my high school because our sports teams are called the "Lancers". So my second avatar's name is basically a wording of the initials of my high school.

Well, I'd never played a male character as a main in an MMO before, so I had to devise an entirely new name. I originally planned to rock a male miqo'te, as I like beast-like races, and I chose Keeper of the Moon in the Beta for ARR, because I like Menphina. So, I wanted the name of a night flower and also like mythology/foreign religious figures but felt fatigued of Greek names, and Brahma Kamal just fit. It also means Lord Lotus in a way.

But, that was when people were hype about male miqo'te, so I decided to be a Midlander instead but kept the name. I'm now a Seeker of the sun, but the name has and will stick for a long time, I think. I'm happy with it.

Inara Rin! My character is her own and thus I didn't want to slap my gamer tag on the character.
I just really love the name Inara, I think it's really beautiful.

I just created a new account after a year hiatus, but my first character's name was Bruce Wayne, the inspiration should be obvious.

This guy I just made, John Spartan, from demolition man.

Fan of the Disgaea series so gaea was my first choice. Wasn't sure what it meant so apparently it meant Earth when I looked it up. Raifu means life in japanese (its actually normally spoken that way) and Kuro means dark or shadow. It was suppose to give my character a type of name that would reflect her lifestyle. A biased and corrupt world, but its her home and she'll make the best out of it.

She isnt dull though, she's a playful hero (and a little evil when its necessary), and my friends even gave me the nickname Raif (even though they pronounce it rafe for some reason lol)

Quick correction:
RAIFU is just "life" said with a Japanese accent; sort of like appropriating words. 命[inochi] or 生命[seimei] are used just as often.
Kuro [黒] just means "black". I know what you were going for and it can work in that context, too, so don't worry too much about it.

(Shadow is "kage" and dark..can be "yami" for the noun or "kurai" for the adjective)

My character's name is That Player because I usually play really bad or really good. There is no in-between with me for some reason.

My character's name is Magnificent Steiner from the anime MONSTER, but people keep thinking my name is from FF. I also have an alt named Candy Apple I got that name from winter candy apple, which is my favorite scent.
