Retainer ventures rewards are broken.

But it's already that way for every furnishing item. The only preview for what furnishing items look like is a tiny icon. Having a retainer bring that item back insults crafters and hurts the economy because now there is one less person who is overmelding their gear and trying to craft these new items.

Which I wouldn't have bought materia from the market anyway, I'm a self sufficient person, I craft my own gear from my own materials to SB and take their materias.
The economy is in a pit because of that, our ability to be every job and not depend on the market is what's killing the market, not the retainers bringing back a once in a blue moon item.

Also, the furnishing market has never been profitable, simply because not every fc has a house, so any retainer brought furnishing isn't gonna kill a already dead market even more.

Sounds more like you're salty that somebody you know got something really cool and your retainers keep bringing you back junk. Not sure why everyone has to run to the forums and cry about every little thing that SE implements. Either it's not good enough or it's not fair...blah blah.

And the way to revive the market is adding more ways to get the items no one wants? Also I don't know about your server but there has been a housing market boom over the last couple weeks with plenty of profit if you know where to look.

Because you're complaining about practically nothing. Think about it, you're complaining about something that's an incredibly rare CHANCE because you're able to craft that thing. It will NOT ruin the market or the satisfaction of the item (by crafting it), or waste ANY time because relying on retainers to bring back things like Darklight or the 3 star crafts is HIGHLY insane.

Our server only has 3 large house (50 million now, 1 of them being of my fc) sold so far, and I'm one of the decorators. The only area that is almost full of houses is Mist area 1. The rest are around 4-6 houses each.

Hello! I have all my crafts at 50, am working on master crafting, and am completely okay with Quick Exploration rewards. If it wasn't for the chance at having something ridiculous come back with my retainers I wouldn't be sending them out at all. Everything that took me time to earn is going to be obsoleted by the end of the year anyway, but my memory of that one time my retainer brought back something completely unexpected? That's something I'll tell friends, or think about every time someone mentions retainer ventures. I'll also fondly remember the effort I put into my crafting and gathering to become self sufficient. Quick Exploration doesn't remove that from my life.

Edit: Though when I think about it, the part where myself and number of other people I know wouldn't be using the Venture system much if not for the Quick Exploration rewards sounds like a whole other problem that needs addressing.

You keep saying rare. I don't think you know what that word means. If you are going after one particular item and that item only? Sure, but the rarity of a higher item in general is reallllyyy not that rare...

Me having a 50 craft or not means nothing. Even if I did have a 50 craft this wouldn't upset me. Once crafters are geared up and have a proper rotation down they'll be HQing targeted items as often as they have materials for them and the demand is there. So the retainers bringing back random 2/3 star items isn't really a big deal.

It is to crafters. And you can't just say if you had a craft at 50 you still wouldn't be upset because the reason people are upset is we took the time to level our crafts to 50. It's that time we put in that makes us feel the way we do. By not having done it you can't argue that way.

People hate when others get nice things - This is why we can't have nice things and why SE nerfs things into the ground and make them pointless. All it does is prevent crafters from charging us 1-3 million on new stuff when it's worth no where near as much.
