Retainer ventures rewards are broken.

So I'm sure everyone has seen the posts about retainers bringing back roofs, ilvl 70 gear, and primal weapons already so I'll skip linking to them.

I'm hoping this is a bug because as far as I know no one has leveled their retainers to 50 yet, so how could they get a primal weapon?

I also hope the fact that they can bring back 3 star crafted furniture is a bug. Those items can't even be made yet until gardeners figure out the correct cross breeding order and grow glazenuts, in addition to spending 500 myth tomes. So the fact that a retainer can go out and get one starting at level 10 is an insult to players in my opinion.

We were told they can bring back items unique to retainer ventures, but it seems like that's only because they can bring back almost any item in the entire game database that isn't blue or purple whether it has been released yet or not.

I feel like it is either an oversight or a bug that low level retainers seem to have access to almost everything. At least make their ilvls match the ilvl requirements of the primal fight they are getting the weapon from. I understand these items are basically only for glamours now, but it logically doesn't make any sense that my lvl 12 mining retainer can get a mog king weapon.

Also don't let them get 2 or 3 star items. Leave the crafters something to do. You gave us master recipe books and new tools that take some effort to get in order to make these new items, so don't just let a retainer go out for an hour and bring back something we've been hard to craft.

So hopefully we can get a couple more restrictions placed on our brave retainers on their ventures. Also let me know if you've seen any items a retainer get that you feel like they shouldn't have access to.

They have already said more than once that the quick ventures are TOTALLY random no matter what level your retainer is. MOSt of the time you come back with garbage, which means they get next to no experience. RARELY they come home with something nice and get some good exp for it.

Quick venture is a bad way to level your retainer. At higher levels your retainer comes home from the other ventures with better, and higher quality stuff consistently. Quick ventures are a gamble.

I like the fact my retainer apparently goes out and steals weird or hard-to-get furniture, thank you.

I send her out on ventures just to see what crazy thing she'll bring back next. It's amusing.

Agreed, I also heard SE made the list of what can and can't be brought back. So if it's being brought back it's because SE said it was okay.

Apparently RNG-based quick ventures having the ability to bring back hard-to-get items rubs people the wrong way.

Keep in mind it's complete RNG and does not endanger crafters or render a crafter's 2/3 star items worthless. No one is going to rely on a retainer to bring them back primal weapons and 2/3 star items, it'd be silly to do so.

Why does it bother you?

Because crafting the new three star items takes a lot of effort and if a retainer can do it, however rarely and randomly, it's a little insulting. Most people here don't seem to care about crafting but for me to see retainers bringing back those items would be the same reaction as you would have if you saw them bringing back turn 6-9 coil loot.
