His point was, what does your extra 30k have over him? How does it make you go through coil? How does it make your Atmas drop faster? How does it get you 130k Myth? You have nearly 0 advantage over someone who doesn't pay for extra retainers.

If we had a real economy, sure you'd be making more gil, but what is your gil going to that gives you such a HUGE advantage?
