I brought it up because i am specifically talking about grinding, they bringing up animated weapons is irrelevant to talking about grinding, which was the initial argument, tell me getting your relic in FFXI was not a grind?
you need to go back and look at the first post you responded to, the initial argument was not about grinding. the initial argument was me refuting this statement "Time consuming, yes, hard, no.", specifically the word "no" in that statement.

I'm still kind of confused on the whole path to the relic. I know you start with a Zenith and begin a quest.
So, is it that you then have to do these Fates and get all these Atmas? Then after you have them, you upgrade your relic to Atma? Then after that have to save up 13,500 Myth to upgrade to Anima?
Can someone clarify?
after you get the Atma, you have to buy challenge books, each book costs 1500 myth to buy and you have to buy 9 books total. you don't spend 13,500 all at once. we don't know what all the challenges are yet though.I'm still kind of confused on the whole path to the relic. So, are these Fates and Atma pieces the only thing that has to be done to upgrade your Zenith to Atma?

You could just save your tomes for two weeks and get a weapon that's equivalent or better AND upgradeable from there. Go back and do the relic when you're complaining about only logging in on Tuesdays.
