OT:Very much disagree. Gonna be pissed off if some gil buying idiot can just buy his way to ilvl 115 or w/e. Sure, play the whole "you want to live in fear of rmt?" argument but then this is exactly what would happen if craftable endgame gear was tradable. Square aren't retarded, stop asking for this crafters.

I can live with this provided at the same time SE actually tries to take the control out of RMT's hands in relation to cornering the shard market, meanwhile shard bots swing merrily away.

And if prisms become a crafter windfall, RMT's will quickly find a way to get a piece of the pie.

It still wouldn't make a big difference, the only people who would continue to craft regularly without any real way to profit marginally would either be bored, or just really enjoy crafting.

What is anyone going to spend it on anyway. besides the time sink (and not a long one really), crafting in this game doesn't take long to cap.

Why pay a fortune for endgame gear when I can just lvl the craft and make it myself, it's sad that crafting/gathering jobs have to be so disposable in xiv, mehh that's the way it is, bet it doesn't change the way they have it built now.

Good chance that you will have to make a crafted weapons are a part of the Zodiac quest, since there is a bunch of crafted weapons in the patch notes that take dungeon drops from the looks of it. Probably similar to relics, if so you can make a ton of gil with this.

Well the i70 crafted accessories were actually really good/better in some's opinions than the i90 counterparts when pentamelded. The real issue with the new 3 star crafted items is THERE IS NO ACCESSORIES. That's right, all you tanks that were having fun with your exra str melded on the rings prepare to not have fun and be just like the other VIT only stacking sheep.

Those items aren't crafted, look under the list of new craftable recipes for each job in the patch notes to see. There are no i90 accessories, which would have been the only pieces worth using/melding.

The new crafted recipes are listed in the patch notes, it even has it's own section. Those weathered items you get with soldiery tomes and upgrade with sand/oil (also new items) that drop in binding coil 2.

No. You don't craft the weathered items, they are bought with tomes like myth gear in 2.0~ but you can upgrade them with a drop like how you use oil to make your relic into a Zenith. Crafting is shafted
