    Crafting Needs a Place in Endgame Raiding

    I want to start with saying that I hated how crafting was in 2.0 and 2.1. Not the crafting itself but the usefulness of the items we made. The only crafting items ever really sold after 2.1 are Vanya for looks and jewelry, specifically a ring since you could only buy 1 ring with myth.

    There needs to be 3 star items IN ADDITION to master recipe books. 3 star items should be i90 and look really nice and be intended for vanity and alt gearing like i70 is now. Then master recipe needs to be i100 and have caps for the main stats and vitality only. The rest should be completely uncapped. In this way we can make our i100 weapons near par with i110 with penta-melds and be able to customize our gear.

    If this were the case they would need to add a gil dungeon for DoW and DoM to run to be able to make money. I'm not talking 3-5k a run, I mean a harder dungeon that earns 7-10k a run. With a bonus for no wipes of around 3k. So that the common DoW/M can afford to buy the items and mats for the mastery recipes.

    I believe this would revitalize the market for some time. It would increase the need for materia and carbonized matter. It would give people a second option to spend their soldiery tomes on. (Soldiery Items in addition to Mythology Items) I know this gil dungeon idea would add a serious influx of extra gil. So this brings up the need for another gil sink. Personal Housing. That with Market Board taxes would do the job just fine.

    All in all, crafting was done right in this game. Now they just need to give it a reason to exist. Make it something that will be a viable option for gearing up. Crafting desperately needs this.

    EDIT: People seem to be not reading the post and just posting blindly on the general topic. I am not saying we should be able to craft the best gears in the game. Not even close. I understand their stance on Coil being the be all end all. I'm saying we should be able to craft i100. I thought of another idea while reading through the replies. What if the i100 crafted gear came with 3 stats instead of 4 and they gave us an extra 100% slot. Make it more customizable and still relevant after a couple of months. Its frustrating to have spent time and money crafting an item only to have it not sell. At all.

    In regards to this post, Soldiery Tomes will get you i110 gear and see above.
