i95 weapons drop from Leviathan HM, you can't be serious?

Leviathan HM has an ilvl requirement of 60 to enter and from what's seen on patch notes, you're only required to complete the quest to unlock him. There's no pre-requisite of completing previous primals. This is insane. So within an hour or two of farming, people can skip the entire relic questline and acquire an i95 weapon that's on par with T5 weapons? Now they better have strong dps checks in Coil 2 or else, if people beat Turns 6-9 with i95 weapons, they won't even have to do relic upgrades.

It baffles me how much content can be skipped. They should have made it i85 or max i90 weapon. You're getting a reward that's a whopping 30 ilvl's higher. Way to go SE! I thought relics finally had a purpose again and lets hope they do for Coil 2 progression.

No confirmations. :/ It might as well drop from Leviathan EX but you need the drop from Leviathan HM or something else to upgrade it to i100.

i highly doubt t9, where the i115 weps mostly drop, will be tuned to be beatable with an i95 wep

And your reply is just was worthless because you are making a wild assumption that "people" (please define) will be able to beat 6-9 with i95 weapons.

I would say roughly 95% of people beat Coil1-5 with i90 weapons, not i75 ones.

But when you think about it, healing is more about skills (reaction times) than gear. The very first T5 kill had an i70 healer in there. Since they buffed tank threats with last patch 2.1, I'm not sure how much they would need the new relic upgrades. Now when it comes to dps, they're the only ones that might need i110 relic upgrades over this i95 weapon. Though with rest of the gear at i100+, their optimum dps rotations might do the trick.

No matter how you spin this, i95 reward is still quite huge. New players will wreck 98% of the content with those. They could have made it i85 since the moogle king HM dropped i75 weapons. Lower than Titan HM. So going by the same path, i85 would be more suitable - lower than extreme primal weapon.

Except if those weapons are anything like the current Allagan weapons, they're crap. 1 more attack and stats that are pretty much equal to your relic, except the 2ndary is different? You're better off just getting the relic for most classes, as the stats on the relics are usually what you need (not so much for SCH, where it's spell speed instead of crit rate).

Yoshida did mention that we could do something with our Leviathan weapons. Leviathan HM might just drop an item we can use the upgrade the ex weapons.
